Abstract: A personal temperature monitor senses inner ear temperature and uses the sensed ear temperature to determine the internal core body temperature. The monitor places an audible signal device at the ear of the individual being monitored to alert the person when elevating core body temperatures may be indicative of a potentially dangerous heat stress condition.
