Patents Assigned to Labinal S.A.
  • Patent number: 5083939
Abstract: Male electrical contact member for connection to a complementary electrical connector shell, which includes a connector shell which is shaped to receive an insulative material block having a heel-piece and at least one projection. The heel-piece includes at least one passage for a folded conductor fixed to the projection. The connector shell further includes elements for locking the heel-piece into the housing and at least one aperture through which the projection covered with the conductor may pass.

  • Patent number: 5015013
Abstract: A connector fitting for a corrugated conduit comprises complementary first and second parts together defining a cylindrical body. They are molded in one piece with a strip which links the first and second parts together in the manner of a hinge. There is at least one rib on each part disposed in a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the part. At the free end of the first part opposite that adjoining the hinge is a first locking member. There is a complementary second locking member at the free end of the second part opposite that adjoining the hinge. A third locking member is provided on one edge of the first part adjoining the hinge and a complementary fourth locking member on an edge of the second part adjoining the hinge. The first locking member comprises a first bar and an outwardly facing first hook at the end of the first bar. The third locking member comprises a second bar and an outwardly facing second hook at the end of the second bar.

  • Patent number: 4998889
Abstract: An electrical connector comprises a molded plastics material female housing member incorporating a skirt and a molded plastics material male housing member adapted to be inserted into this skirt. Guides on one housing member align the male and female housing members during insertion of the male housing member into the skirt. There are multiple channels in each housing member. Those in one housing member are adapted to receive male electrical connection members and those in the other housing member are adapted to receive corresponding female electrical connection members. At least one housing member is joined to a support by corrugated elastic strips, so that it can oscillate in the support.

  • Patent number: 4979910
Abstract: An electrical connector housing comprises a male housing member, a corresponding female housing member and a skirt on the female housing member adapted to receive an anterior end of the male housing member. Channels in the male and female housing members are adapted to receive respective electrical contact members. Means for locking the male and female housing members together when the anterior end of the male housing member is inserted into the skirt comprise a resilient bar having two feet joined to the male housing member near its anterior end, an operating member at its free end and first locking members. The skirt comprises second locking members adapted to cooperate with the first locking members and a protuberance on its inside surface.

  • Patent number: 4957451
Abstract: A male electrical contact comprises a substantially U-shape body incorporating two side members and a center member. There is a bar at one end and the other end is adapted for connecting the body to an electrical conductor. The contact is manufactured by bending a blank formed from a material that is a good electrical conductor. The material comprises two strips of different thickness. The bar and the adjoining part of the body are formed from the thicker of these strips.

  • Patent number: 4831726
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a wiring harness of the type having a preformed cable containing a plurality of conductors and arranged in a predetermined path, and having breakouts for certain of the conductors which terminate in electrical contacts at one or more predetermined locations, includes the step of molding an integral frame from insulating mateial. The frame has groups of connector housings for receiving electrical contacts, and located at positions corresponding to the locations of the breakouts, and runners that integrally connect the housings. The method also includes laying the preformed cable in an operative position on the frame so that the cable breakouts are adjacent to the groups of connector housings. After the electrical contacts are inserted into the connector housings, the runners are removed.
