Abstract: An electrical connector including an insulated receptacle having a front wall with openings provided with at least one channel which emerges into a opening for receiving a female electrical contact member. The channel is provided with a means for biasing to cooperate with corresponding means for retention on the electrical contact member so as to ensure the secure positioning of the electrical contact member when it is put in place in the channel. The channel has a cross-sectional dimension greater than of the electrical contact member and tapers gradually on the front face towards the opposite end of the insulating box. The electrical contact member is provided with a flared opening at its end which turns towards the front face of the insulated box.
Abstract: A rotating machine is provided of the type in which the rotor includes a plurality of radial permanent magnets joined by pole pieces in the form of arcs of a circle, wherein the pole pieces have slots therein which oppose the propagation of magnetic fluxes in any direction other than the substantially radial direction of the concentration of the armature flux. The result is a notable increase in the power-to-weight ratio of the machine.
Abstract: A fastening device made up of at least two elements which may be adapted to accommodate complementary electrical connection devices and which are provided with connector assemblies which include an elongate member associated with a first element having flexible lateral sides provided with bosses and an upper surface side provided with a lug which interact with rims bordering an opening in a housing formed as part of a second element which are adapted to mate with each other in a locking arrangement.
Abstract: The rotor (1), which has magnets (3) in particular of the rare earth-cobalt type, is surrounded by a hoop formed by a metal which has been cold work-hardened and has a high elastic strength so as to form a sleeve which exerts on the subjacent magnets a high pre-stressing force.
Abstract: An electrical connector includes an insulating housing having a first housing part which includes a plurality of substantially parallel compartments each for receiving a first electrical contact element having a first portion for making electrical contact with a second electrical contact element and a second portion for connection to an electrical conductor. The compartments have a length such that the second portions of the first contact elements project out one end of the compartments. The insulating housing includes a second housing part for slidably receiving the first housing part.
Abstract: Electrical contact element designed to produce an electrical connection by interacting with a male element and including means for its connection to an electric circuit at one end while the other end is bent to form a channel with a base side, a top side opposite the base side, and an elastic strap which functions in gripping the male element, wherein the elastic strap has a first portion applied against the base side and prolonged by an inclined second portion which is bent in the shape of a hairpin and prolonged by a portion which extends towards the free end of the channel and towards the base side in such a way as to bear against a point on the top side.
Abstract: A waterproof electrical connector for connecting electrical conductors. The connector includes male and female electrical contact members which are adapted to be connected to different electrical conductors. In addition, the male and female electrical contact members comprise male and female complementary plugs which are adapted to mate with each other to create an electrical connection. Also provided are male and female elastic, insulating blocks in which the male and female members are respectively embedded. Male and female housings house the male and female blocks, respectively. A first sealing means seals the end of the male and female blocks nearest the electrical connection from the infiltration of water. The first sealing means is pressure-actuated and comprises a concave cup at the end of each block. A second sealing means seals the male and female housings against the infiltration of water therethrough is also provided and it is also pressure-actuated.
Abstract: A device for controlling the luminous intensity of a fluorescent tube supplied with a direct voltage comprises a stabilized supply, a ramp generator, a modulator receiving the ramp signal responsive to a control means sending thereto a voltage for generating a chopped signal whose chopping rate is determined by the control means. The signal is sent to the converter of the tube through an interface circuit. The device is applicable to the regulation of the intensity of tubes on an airship, automobile or portable lamp.
Abstract: The device for measuring a parameter pertaining to a rotary element rotating about a shaft carried by a fixed structure, comprises, on the rotary element, at least one sensor (15) with an associated electric circuit and, on the structure, an electric energy generator (3), coupling means (6, 11) for transmitting electric energy from the generator (3) to the sensor (15) and, in return, the signals from the sensor (15) to utilization means (8, 9). The generator (3) produces electric power at a frequency lower than 100 kHz and the circuit associated with the sensor (13, 14, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20) generates a signal of high frequency which varies within a wide band between 20 and 100 kHz, the coupling being achieved by a transformer (6, 11) in the form of a rotating machine whose structure allows the passage of a wide pass band at least between the frequency of the generator and 100 kHz. This device is in particular applicable to the measurement of the pressure of pneumatic tires of aircraft undercarriages.
Abstract: The plugging into a box having several recesses of the ends, having generally crimped connections, of electrical conductors is provided. A box carrier brings a box with a socket into a position fixed in space opposite the connection to be plugged in. This connection is brought into the plugging-in position by means of a gripper actuated by a drum moved by a carriage and acting on a plate which moves the pushrods recalled by springs. The invention applies to the automatic plugging in of electrical conductors.
Abstract: The device comprises (FIGS. 1 and 2) a fixed plate 1 provided with radial paths 2 having axes 3; along each path there is disposed an assembly 4 which comprises a wire-holder with a wire guide 10 for the wire 12 and means for moving this wire-holder radially. The paths having axes a, b, c, d, e, f converge at A, those having axes h, i, j, k, l, m at B and that having axis g passes through C without passing through A or B.In a variation, the device (FIGS. 3 to 7) has a common delivery zone for each of the article-holders. Each article-holder comprises, in addition to a stopping position for taking up and a delivery position, a third stopping position for waiting which is located between these two above-mentioned stopping positions, in the vicinity of the delivery position.
Abstract: A filter structure comprising a support and a porous folded sheet having a plurality of cooperating groups of corrugations, wherein the folds of one group overlap at least in part the folds of the adjacent group and have a uniform thickness, length and substantially parallel fold apex lines. On opposed sides, the folded sheet has at least two borders each of which borders has a single group of folds terminating in a frontal edge located in a plane substantially perpendicular to the apex lines of the folds. The borders extend outwardly of the cooperating groups of the corrugations to form an area for contact with the support wherein the borders may be embedded by seal means.
