Patent number: 7490559Abstract: A modular base for industrial machinery that allows fixturing and tooling of an industrial machine to be replaced without having to realize the cost of having to rebuild and/or replace the surrounding equipment. The present invention provides a mounting table adaptable to be releasably connected to the industrial machine. A plurality of telescopically adjustable legs are connected to the mounting table to provide a height adjustment to the mounting table. The legs have a plurality of rollers connected thereto for rollably supporting the mounting table. A plurality of mounting platforms are also connected to the legs and adaptable to be releasably fixtured to a foundation. A light fixture is connected to and extends from the mounting table and is adaptable to cast light on the industrial machine. A programmable controller is coupled to the mounting table and is adaptable to be releasably coupled to and in communication with the industrial machine.Type: GrantFiled: March 24, 2004Date of Patent: February 17, 2009Assignee: Labor Aiding Systems, Inc.Inventor: Stephen E. Patent number: 6453529Abstract: Apparatus and a method for assembling a stretchable cover upon a rigidly backed foam cushion wherein the cushion lateral dimensions vary along its length. The degree of stretching of the cover varies during cushion/cover assembly as controlled by cams and cam followers to permit wrinkle-free covering of backed foam cushions of irregular configuration.Type: GrantFiled: May 1, 2000Date of Patent: September 24, 2002Assignee: Labor Aiding Systems, Inc.Inventor: Stephen E. Patent number: 5398393Abstract: Assembly apparatus for assembling a compressible foam cushion and a flexible cover having favorable ergonomic characteristics. The apparatus includes a plate supporting the inverted cushion top having a flexible cover preliminarily positioned thereto, and a second plate engages the inverted cover bottom. A linear motor raises and lowers the second plate to selectively compress the cushion, and cover engaging rollers lift the cover adjacent the cushion sides during cushion compression to permit the cover to be attached to the cushion bottom. The cover engaging rollers are operated by a linear motor and are adjustable transverse to the direction of cushion compression to permit accommodation of various cushion configurations, and the cushion supporting plates are rotatable by a motor and selectively restrained against rotation by a brake to permit all sides of the cushion to be enclosed by the cover.Type: GrantFiled: February 28, 1994Date of Patent: March 21, 1995Assignee: Labor Aiding Systems, Inc.Inventor: Stephen E.
