Patents Assigned to Laboratoires d'Hygiene et de Dietetique (L.H.D.)
  • Patent number: 6411853
Abstract: The invention concerns a device comprising a dressing provided with a layer (8) for absorbing the wound exudates and electric supply means (9) to circulate a current in said wound, through the dressing. The invention is characterized in that said layer (8) consists of a dry hydrophile substantially non-conductive layer at the time it is applied on the wound, the subsequent migration of the exudates into the thickness of said layer (8) controlling the activation of said electric supply means (9), concomitantly with the continuation of the process of exudate absorption by said layer (8).

  • Patent number: 6247485
Abstract: A miniature valve for filling the reservoir of an apparatus for the transdermal administration of a medicine including a) a substrate, b) a fuel charge arranged on the substrate opposite the passage to be opened through it, and c) an electric resistor placed in contact with the fuel charge so that the supply of this resistor with a predetermined electric energy ensures the combustion of the charge and the opening of the passage by local rupture of the substrate under the pressure of the fuel gases of the charge. The device is useful for filling a medicine reservoir for the transdermal administration medicine aided by inophoresis.

  • Patent number: 5899875
Abstract: A device for the percutaneous administration of a medicament for treating male impotence comprises two reservoirs (1,2) hydratable with a medicament solution and intended to be applied to the skin of the penis. The reservoirs are mounted on substantially cylindrical bracelet-shaped means (8) with an elastically expansible diameter to support and press the reservoirs (1,2) against said skin during the treatment. The device includes a sensor which is fixed on the bracelet and is sensitive to the expansion of the bracelet in order to deliver a signal to the user.

  • Patent number: 5889396
Abstract: A solution of active principle, in ionized form, impregnates a layer (2) forming part of the reservoir (1). A measurement of the quantity of active principle contained in this layer is derived from a measurement of the conductivity of this layer. The measurement device comprises a) first (7) and second (10) electrodes placed on either side of and in electrical contact with at least a part of the layer (2) of the impregnated material of the reservoir, b) means (5) for passing the electric current of predetermined strength through the impregnated material and c) means (6) sensitive to the voltage (V) picked up between the electrodes (7, 10) in order to calculate the quantity of active principle contained in the reservoir.
