Abstract: The invention concerns the use of iso-osmotic saline solutions in particular obtained from sea water, to obtain a medicine designed for a treatment preventing and limiting the release of chemical mediators responsible for causing inflammatory phenomena in the human respiratory tracts.
Abstract: The present invention provides a method to potentiate and stimulate natural defensive reactions of plants to a pathogenic agent. The method comprises application to plants of a composition comprising an effective amount of one or more oligo &bgr; 1-3 glucans composed of 3 to 250 monosaccharide units and a vehicle, wherein the effective amount of oligo &bgr; 1-3 glucans in the composition does not directly stimulate natural defensive reactions of plants when the pathogenic agent is absent.

Abstract: Composition for application, in particular to leaves, comprising an excipient, the conventional constituents of compositions for application, in particular to leaves, and an active ingredient, characterized by the fact that the active ingredient is constituted by at least one phytosanitary product capable of stimulating the germination of pollen grains, selected from the group comprising:
oligosaccharides having a degree of polymerization up to 10 and comprising up to 10, preferably up to 5 and, even more preferably, two glucidic units linked by &bgr;1-3, &bgr;1-4 et &agr;1-3, particularly those of the group comprising laminaribiose, cellobiose, nigerose, laminaritriose, laminaritetraose and laminaripentaose,
derivatives of the above oligosaccharides substituted on the free anomeric carbon atom or on all the carbon atoms having a free hydroxide by a radical selected from the group comprising:
C1 to C5 alkyl radicals, preferably the methyl radical,
C1 to C5 acyl radicals, preferably the acetyl radical,

Abstract: The present invention relates to the use of laminarin as a seed germination and plant growth accelerator. The invention applies to the field of agriculture for treatments via the leaves or to the soil.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a new physiological product extracted from algae and plants (e.g. artichokes), the process and apparatus used in its preparation by a combination of cryocomminution and molecular milling followed by ultra-decantation and ultra-filtration to obtain a sterile microburst product are described.
