Abstract: The invention concerns the use of iso-osmotic saline solutions, in particular obtained from sea water, to obtain a medicine for cerumenolytic treatment.
Abstract: The present invention relates to genes which code for glycosyl hydrolases having an HCA score with the iota-carrageenase of Alteromonas fortis which is greater than or equal to 65% over the domain extending between amino acids 164 and 311 of the protein sequence SEQ ID No. 2 of said iota-carrageenase, and to genes which code for glycosyl hydrolases having an HCA score with the kappa-carrageenase of Alteromonas carrageenovora which is greater than or equal to 75% over the domain extending between amino acids 117 and 262 of the protein sequence SEQ ID No. 6 of said kappa-carrageenase.

Abstract: A cosmetic or pharmaceutical, particularly dermatological, composition including an effective amount of laminarin or laminarin-derived oligosaccharides as the active ingredient. It has been discovered that laminarin, oligosaccharides derived therefrom and compositions containing same have stimulating, regenerating, conditioning and energising effects on human dermis fibroblasts and human epidermis keratinocytes. Said composition is useful in cosmetics and pharmacology.
Abstract: A method for improving the germination of seeds or the growth of bulbs in which, prior to planting, the seeds or bulbs are placed into contact with gaseous ozone and the residual moisture content of the seeds or bulbs is adjusted before or simultaneously with the ozone contact to a value in the range of 5 to 60% by weight. The seeds or bulbs produced thereby are suitable for storage without any additional drying step.
