    Abstract: The 7-theophylline acetic acid salt of mepyramine possesses bronchial spasmolytic, antiarrhythmic, cerebral oxidation inhibitor and platelet aggregation inhibitor properties. It is prepared by slowly adding a solution of mepyramine to a suspension of 7-theophylline acetic acid in the same solvent to effect the salt-forming reaction. It can be incorporated in various pharmaceutical unit dosage forms.
