  • Patent number: 10981730
Abstract: An auger system having an auger with an internal measurement system that is contained within the auger. The measurement system has a power source located within the auger and a sensor for measuring at least one condition within the auger. The measurement system is connected to the power source and a transmitter is powered by the power source to transmit a signal from the sensor. A receiver receives the signal from the transmitter and is spaced from the transmitter. The signal is then sent to a control system that compares the signal to a predetermined value to determine whether the condition measured is within an acceptable range. The control system may alter inputs into components for moving the auger until said condition is within an acceptable range.

  • Patent number: 10766719
Abstract: An unloading system for use in a storage structure having a sidewall that contains granular stored material. A reclaiming portion is spaced from the sidewall and has a floor portion that extends from a discharge opening toward the sidewall. The floor portion of the reclaiming portion is supported above the floor of the storage structure. The reclaiming portion may move with respect to the sidewall and is isolated from movement with respect to the sidewall of the storage structure. Seals between the reclaiming portion and the sidewall prevent the stored material from bypassing the reclaiming portion so that any discharge of the stored material occurs through the discharge opening.

  • Patent number: 8177470
Abstract: A cutter dome for use with a reclaimer includes a sidewall that at least partially encircles a central axis and that extends from a lower end to an upper end, the sidewall having a lower portion that bounds a first chamber and an upper portion that bounds a second chamber, a collection opening being formed on the lower portion of the sidewall so that a reclaimer, such as an auger, can pass through the collection opening and communicate with the first chamber. A roof is disposed on the upper end of the sidewall so as to cover second chamber, the roof having a first inlet formed thereon. A first passageway is disposed within the second chamber and extends from the first inlet to a first outlet, the first outlet communicating with the first chamber.

  • Publication number: 20080131235
Abstract: A reclaiming system for use with bulk material includes a storage structure, an elongated mechanical reclaimer, and an aeration system for delivering a pressurized gas into bulk material located within the storage structure. The storage structure comprising a floor having a perimeter wall upstanding therefrom, the floor and perimeter wall bounding a chamber adapted to hold bulk material, the floor having a passageway formed thereon. The elongated mechanical reclaimer has a first end and an opposing second end, the first end being disposed adjacent to the passageway and the second end being rotatable about the first end. The aeration system is located adjacent to the floor, adjacent to the mechanical reclaimer or is integrated into the mechanical reclaimer. By using the mechanical reclaimer in conjunction with the aeration system, the bulk material is effectively removed from the storage structure through the passageway.
