Patents Assigned to LAING O'ROURKE AUSTRALIA PTY LIMITED
  • Patent number: 11123917
Abstract: An apparatus for fabricating an object on a substrate, the apparatus including a plurality of nozzles arranged in an array and each nozzle being in communication with a supply of build material and configured to expel a quantity of the build material therefrom, and also including a controller configured to selectively operate each nozzle to deposit a portion of the build material, responsive to data relating to a geometry of the object. During operation, the controller selectively operates at least some of the nozzles to deposit portions of the build material in specific locations corresponding with the object geometry, wherein at least one of the portions abuts the substrate and the portions are progressively deposited until the portions form the object.

  • Patent number: 11065782
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for casting building material to form a construction element using a computer-controlled apparatus. The method comprises the steps of: moving the material deposition head and selectively depositing material, to fabricate a formwork; pouring building material in contact with at least a portion of the formwork; at least partially curing the building material, thereby forming the construction element; and removing at least a portion of the formwork from the construction element.

  • Patent number: 10821659
Abstract: A method for fabricating a composite object with a computer-controlled apparatus, and the apparatus therefor. The comprises a reservoir containing liquid, curable first material, means to selectively solidify the first material and means to selectively deposit a second material. The method involves the steps of selectively depositing portions of the second material, and selectively solidifying portions of the first material, such that the solidified portions of the first material and the deposited portions of the second material form the composite object.

  • Patent number: 10668707
Abstract: A method for fabricating an object using an additive manufacturing process. The method involves a computer-controlled apparatus including a fabrication head for selectively fabricating material and a build area for receiving the fabricated material, and comprises the steps of the apparatus receiving computer instructions relating to the object geometry, and moving the fabrication head and the build area relative to each other, and selectively operating the fabrication head, to fabricate at least one bead of material in the build area corresponding with the object geometry, whereby the at least one bead has non-uniform thickness.

  • Patent number: 10343320
Abstract: A method for fabricating an object with a computer-controlled apparatus according to computer instructions derived from a computer model of the object. The method involves fabricating a plurality of beads of material, whereby at least a portion of two beads abut and are arranged at an angle between 1-179° to each other. The two beads may be fabricated on respective notional planes which intersect each other. Alternatively, the two beads may be fabricated to form respective non-planar layers. Further alternatively, the two beads may be fabricated as three-dimensional beads. Also, the two beads may be curved and form respective planar layers.
