Abstract: Plasticizer compositions that are less volatile and have improved resistance to hydrolysis include specific combinations of carbodiimides and specified esters. The plasticizers may include aromatic carbodiimides, and be particularly suited for plastics such as polyvinyl chloride, The carbodiimides and esters may be initially mixed as a pre-mix composition to be added to a polymer, or the polymer, carbodiimides and esters may be mixed together essentially simultaneously to produce a plasticized polymer.
