Abstract: The present invention provides a closed-loop system that allows the operator of video gaming machines or other systems to define promotional events for the particular machines or systems, monitor the activity of the particular machines or systems, and grant awards. More specifically, the promotional events may include scheduling information, winning criteria and awards. During the period of time that the promotional event is active, the activity of the machine or system is monitored to determine if the winning criteria has been satisfied. If the winning criteria are satisfied, information pertaining to event is recorded. The present invention is applicable to a variety of embodiments including video poker machines, black jack machines or other gaming and gambling machines, as well as other systems that include a display mechanism and an activity that can be monitored.

Abstract: A method of playing Keno in which the quantity of numbers drawn is increased by including the integer above and/or below each number drawn, for at least some of the numbers drawn. This effectively increases the quantity of numbers drawn without requiring any additional steps by the players or modification of ball drawing equipment. For example, after drawing 20 numbers, the respective integer above each of the first 5 drawn numbers can be included in the draw. Optionally these extra numbers can be treated differently from those drawn, for example by applying to an additional bonus wager.

Abstract: The method of the present invention involves a numerical game of chance, which includes a parlay and a bonus playing option. A player selects a series of five (5) numbers from a set of eighty (80) numbers and makes a wager. The player then selects a second series of five numbers from a set of eighty numbers and makes another wager. The player then is given the option to make a combination wager whereby the first series of five numbers and second series of five numbers are combined. Abstract: Method of playing roulette with a system including a roulette wheel, a conventional betting layout and a progressive jackpot layout. Players make wages on the conventional layout and/or the progressive layout to participate in a progressive jackpot game wherein the jackpot is accumulated from losing wagers on the progressive jackpot layout. The system includes sensors for detecting chips placed on the progressive layout. The jackpot is won by a wagered winning number being selected by the roulette wheel in a predetermined number of successive spins.
