    Abstract: A device for performing acupuncture on a patient using laser radiation as a device for producing laser radiation and a handpiece (1) which is connected thereto and which is brought into contact with the body of the patient in order to apply the laser radiation. The handpiece (1) has at least one light conducting fiber (4) which is connected to the device (7) for producing laser radiation and which is in contact with the body of the patient during the acupuncture and applies the laser radiation thereto.
