Abstract: In some examples, a mobile computing device is configured to receive electronic analog audio signals, generated by an input device responsive to receiving audio input, representing one or more words in a first language; digitize the electronic analog audio signal to produce a stream of digitized audio samples; encode, with a voice encoder of the mobile computing device, the stream of digitized audio samples to generate one or more encoded voice packets; send the one or more encoded voice packets to a remote voice translation service; receive, from the remote voice translation service, one or more encoded translated voice packets, wherein the one or more encoded translated voice packets represent one or more words in a second language translated from the one or more words in the first language; and output the one or more encoded translated voice packets via a cellular communication session over a cellular network.

The storage device stores instructions that when executed cause the at least one processor to: receive, from a television, a first subset of programming guide information, output, for display, a first user interface including at least some of the first subset of the programming guide information, receive, after outputting the first user interface, an indication of input, determine, based on the indication of input, a second subset of the programming guide information, receive, from the television, the second subset of the programming guide information, and output, for display, a second user interface including at least some of the second subset of the programming guide information.

Abstract: Provided herein in some embodiments is a system and a method including a first client-entertainment module of a first mobile-computing device and a first client-entertainment profile associated with the first client-entertainment module. The first client-entertainment module can be configured to cooperate with i) a server-entertainment module on a server computer or ii) a second client-entertainment module on a second mobile-computing device to provide a seamless continuation of entertainment content at a specific point in the entertainment content on the second mobile-computing device. The first client-entertainment profile can be configured to track user interaction with entertainment content and features thereof to provide the specific point for the seamless continuation of the entertainment content.

Abstract: Each card uses one or more APIs to actively pull content or have content pushed from apps resident in memories of the device and other content supplied from computing devices external to the device. Each card is particularized to a specific category of information to showcase content on a display screen of the device from the apps and the other content, which is all aggregated on a corresponding card for that category of information. A configuration screen is also presented to allow the user of the device to customize their own user experience on the device by selecting as potential content sources from the apps and the external computing devices to supply an extracted newest version of content to be displayed on the one or more cards to personalize content and provide better engagement with the user of the device.
