Abstract: Maternity garments are presented herein. The maternity garments are intended for use by pregnant women throughout the entirety of their pregnancy. In one exemplary arrangement, the maternity garments include a built-in support belt and a belly bump portion. The maternity garment may further include leggings. In some arrangements, the maternity garment is formed of light compression weaves in areas such as the baby bump area and the leggings area of the garment, while the areas around the periphery of the baby bump, as well as the back area of the garment are formed of slightly stronger compression weave so as to provide needed support and lift in these areas. Finally, the area associated with the middle of the back of the pregnant woman may be formed of an even stronger compression weave so as to provide even greater support in this area to deal with the troublesome soreness and pain often had by pregnant woman as the pregnancy progresses.
Abstract: A front-opening, adjustable bra having an elastic base band having free ends, an inside end portion adjacent one of said free ends and an outside end portion adjacent to other of said free ends, a back flap disposed between said free ends, and a pair of front flaps disposed between said free ends and said back flap, each flap having a breast covering flap. The inside end portion having an outwardly extending latch-engaging structure and a set of at least two spaced latching structures, and the outside end portion having an inwardly extending latch-engaging structure and at least two inwardly spaced extending latch structures. The latch-engaging structures engage a selected one of the respective latching structures to set the size of the bra. The latch-engaging structures and the latch structures can be reversed on the bra. A slide having three loops for receiving shoulder straps of a bra is also described.
Abstract: A surgical chest dressing is constructed of a band of stretchable material having a pair of panels of non-stretchable material attached thereto, the non-stretchable panels biasing the side and breast tissue of a patient inwardly toward a sutured incision in the center of a patient's chest to support and substantially immobilize the patient's side and breast tissue and to minimize stress on the sutured incision. The dressing has a flexible and breathable back panel. The dressing provides improved support and comfort.
Abstract: A therapeutic chest dressing for breasts having implants including a chest encircling, flexible band provided with front flaps whereby the band is disposed against the back of a person and the front flaps overlap and fasten to each other. A chest encircling strip is attached to the flexible band for preventing movement or distortion of the implants for breasts received in the flexible band.
Abstract: A therepeutic brassiere for supporting breast implants includes breast receiving cups. Each of the cups is formed from a section of body engaging fabric joined together at a common seam. A chest encircling band is joined to the lower marginal edges of the cups for affixing the brassiere to the chest of a wearer. An elastic strip of material, attached to both the upper marginal edges of the cups and to the chest encircling band prevents movement or distortion of the breast implants.
