Abstract: Embodiments described herein generally relate to a docking station which can serve as a self-contained mobile and cloud connected communication system. In some embodiments, a docking station includes a docking portion that defines a recess configured to removably receive a portion of a computerized bill presenter. The docking station also includes a charging mechanism disposed in the docking station, which is coupleable to the computerized bill presenter. The charging mechanism is configured to charge a power source disposed in the computerized bill presenter and is also configurable to provide two-way communication between the docking station and the computerized bill presenter. The docking station also includes a communications module configured to provide wireless two-way communication between the docking station and a host device over a network and between the docking station and the one or more computerized bill presenters over the network.
Abstract: Systems and methods for transaction-based recordation of a new payment identifier. A payment identifier and a first user account associated with the payment identifier are received, the payment identifier and the first user account associated with a transaction. A user status associated with a user of the first user account is determined. A record is generated that includes the payment identifier, the first user account, and the user status. The record is recorded for use with subsequent transactions by the user.
