  • Patent number: 9790018
Abstract: A non-electrically powered automatic dosing and spraying valve assembly for a container of pressurized fluid with an outlet valve is described, wherein the valve assembly comprises a housing containing at least two chambers wherein one of those chambers is a main chamber open at one end to the contents of the container and closed at one end by a movable plunger, and another of those chambers is a dose chamber closed at one end by the movable plunger and closed at the other end by a prodder seal formed between a movable prodder and a fluid outlet opening; wherein the movable plunger is biased against movement toward the dose chamber by a main spring means and a prodder spring means, the main spring means being mounted in or adjacent to the dose chamber and the prodder spring means being connected to both the movable plunger and movable prodder, the assembly further comprises a fluid leak path between the main chamber and the dose chamber; and wherein the assembly is arranged such that, in use, one movable comp

  • Patent number: 8439232
Abstract: A manual pump action dispenser for dispensing at least one liquid from a container, the dispenser comprising a base and a cap (114) having an outlet (144) for the liquid, the base being mountable to or forming part of a container and the cap (114) being mountable to the base for movement relative to the base between a rest position and an actuated position, the dispenser further comprising a flexible insert (116) locatable between the base and the cap (114) to define a first pump chamber (122) for dispensing said at least one liquid, the insert being adapted to engage with the base to define an inlet through which said at least one liquid to be dispensed can enter the first pump chamber, the dispenser further comprising an inlet valve operable to enable liquid to enter the first pump chamber (122) through the inlet and an outlet valve arrangement operable to control the release of liquid from the first pump chamber through the outlet, in which the insert also defines a second pump chamber (123) for dispensing

  • Patent number: 7926741
Abstract: An aerosol dispenser has a canister to contain a liquid product to be dispensed together with a propellant present at least partly as a gas and valve to control the release of the liquid product from the canister. The dispenser also has a vapor phase tap for introducing a portion of the gaseous propellant into the liquid product as it is dispensed. The dispenser has a flow control device for varying the rate at which the propellant has is introduced into the liquid product through the vapor phase tape in dependence on the pressure of the contents of the canister. The flow control device can be used to reduce the amount of propellant gas bled into the liquid product, particularly when the dispenser is full and the pressure in the canister is high, as a way of conserving the propellant gas.

  • Publication number: 20090020568
Abstract: An aerosol dispenser has a canister to contain a liquid product to be dispensed together with a propellant present at least partly as a gas and valve (10) to control the release of the liquid product from the canister. The dispenser also has a vapour phase tap for introducing a portion of the gaseous propellant into the liquid product as it is dispensed. The invention is characterised in that the dispenser has a flow control means for varying the rate at which the propellant gas is introduced into the liquid product through the vapour phase tape in dependence on the pressure of the contents of the canister The flow control means can be used to reduce the amount of propellant gas bled into the liquid product, particularly when the dispenser is full and the pressure in the canister is high, as a means of conserving the propellant gas.

  • Publication number: 20050189382
Abstract: The present invention relates to a device that is adapted to be placed inside a container and to permit the continuous dispensing of a liquid stored in a container by enabling the fluid to be drawn from the interior of the container into the device and from the device to the outlet of the container. The device has a body which defines an internal chamber, an inlet through which liquid may be drawn into the chamber, and an outlet through which liquid can be drawing out of the chamber. The inlet of the device is adapted to restrict the access of liquid to the chamber when the device is inverted from a upright position. The present invention also relates to a dip tube and various container assemblies that are likewise adapted to permit the continuous dispensing of a liquid stored in a container.
