  • Patent number: 7671269
Abstract: Methods and systems for graphical actuation of a velocity and directionally sensitive sound generation application are disclosed. An identifier of a graphical element or elements that are traversed is received wherein the graphical element or elements are located on a coded surface. In one embodiment, the traversal has a velocity and a direction. Moreover, the traversal can be performed with an optical pen on a graphical representation of a sound generation system. The velocity and the direction of the traversal are determined and an identifier of the velocity and the direction of the traversal is used to actuate a directionally sensitive sound generation application.

  • Patent number: 7621441
Abstract: An interactive media device. The device has an area for receiving a document and a sensor network adjacent to the area. The sensor network has a first region adjacent to the document and responsive to user proximity to the first region. The sensor network has a second region that is responsive to markers disposed on or embedded in the document. The device has a processor coupled to the sensor network and able to receive signals from the sensor network indicating capacitance change in the first and second regions based on the received signals. The processor is thus able to identify a location in the document based on the first and second received signals.

  • Patent number: 6607388
Abstract: An educational toy for teaching a child a sequence of letters, numbers, colors or other sequences. The toy would be provided with a plurality of segmented body portions, each of the body portions associated with a single indicia. A switch is provided on each of the segmented body portions. When this switch is depressed, an audio output associated with the indicia would be produced. After the child has memorized a series of indicia to produce a learned sequence, a switch associated with a segmented body portion having demarcation indicia would be depressed, allowing the entire sequence to be vocalized in order.
