  • Patent number: 6876174
Abstract: Based on the measurement of the increase of sinusoidal voltage ?V=Vmaxsine(2?ft) on adding a sinusoidal current ?I=Imaxsine(2?ft+?) to the battery current, where f is the frequency and Imax, the amplitude of the superimposed current, with whose magnitudes the electrochemical impedance of the battery Z(f)=Vmax/Imaxej? is calculated, comprising the application of a first sinusoidal signal of prefixed frequency to the battery which generates an alternate voltage component superimposed over the direct one; eliminating the direct component of the response signal; applying a second periodic voltage signal with a frequency identical to that of said first signal and carrying out a synchronous detection of the alternate component generated by the application of said first signal to obtain the voltage proportional to the electrochemical impedance and evaluate the state of health and charge of the battery.

  • Patent number: 6759606
Abstract: It consists of a body (1) having a sliding key (2) that may activate some side actuators (7, 8), and a central actuator (9), which act over the upper base of the cones (13) of a membrane (14) triggering a determined part of a circuit (15). For this purpose, there are at least two fixed guides (5, 6) between the key (2) and the actuators (7, 8, 9) to guide the sliding of a runner (3) rigidly joined to the key (2) that serves to activate the actuators (7, 8, 9). The runner (3) includes a sliding strip (17) having pivots (18) housed in some crossed slots (19, 20) formed in the fixed guides (5, 6), permitting the guided displacements of the key (2) with the runner (3) in two perpendicular directions to activate the mentioned actuators (7, 8, 9).

  • Patent number: 6507506
Abstract: The invention is designed for vehicles having two electrical power supply systems and corresponding differentiated voltage level charges and two batteries operating at a first and a second voltage level. A bidirectional voltage converter cooperates with both systems whose input and output stages are galvanically insulated and include a switch. The batteries are connected to said input and output at a first and a second voltage level so that said bidirectional converter can provide a first reduced voltage mode and a second increased voltage mode. The passive components, e.g. the magnetic components and capacitances, of said stages have been chosen to provide an identical transitional behavior in both modes when a disruption occurs in the regulating system either in the charge or the input voltage.

  • Patent number: 6419522
Abstract: An electrical connector assembly including a housing accommodating electrical terminals, a structure for locking each electrical terminal inside of the housing, a lid, a structure for maintaining the terminals in place including a locking body, and a structure for fixing the lid and the housing. The housing includes holes accommodating the electrical terminals and on which a structure for coupling the lid to the housing is included, so that there is a separation between the lid and the housing thereby allowing the wiring to pass to an outside through opposing ends of the lid. The locking body includes flanges that extend inside the housing, and mount the locking body inside the housing in a first position in which the locking body is partially outside of the housing. The flanges allow the locking body to be located at a second position where the locking body is placed completely inside the housing.
