  • Patent number: 7394775
Abstract: The invention comprises several vehicle parameters transducers (1, 2, 3, 4) associated to respective slave circuits (10, 20, 30, 40) connected by a single, time-shared serial bus (60) with a master slave (50) which, when activated from a digital processing unit (DP), performs a communication with each one of the slave circuits, a bit frame circulating through said serial bus (60) according to a transmission protocol, without error correction, formed by a series of bit packets, each one with information from a corresponding slave circuit and separated by a short time interval, which information is stored in said master circuit (50) from where it is acquired by the (DP) through a parallel bus (70).

  • Patent number: 7359783
Abstract: The mobile element is a vehicle window pane, panel, movable seat or similar, conveniently guided, and driven by a DC electric motor with a permanent magnet, and the method comprises a step of detecting an entrapment or collision situation of the mobile element by means of a first fuzzy logic algorithm, which inputs are the mobile element's position and the increments that may occur in the intensity of the current demanded by said motor, which is evaluated from the relative increase of the current intensity at one turn of the motor and after one next, subsequent turn of the motor. A second fuzzy logic algorithm is used to control the mobile element's velocity, in close loop.

  • Patent number: 7068798
Abstract: Method and system for canceling echoes and noises in environments with variable acoustic conditions and high feedback, such as the interior of an automotive vehicle, permitting audible communication between the occupants, comprising one/several microphone/s (1) for a speech signal (5) and A/D, D/A converters, amplification and filtering means generating an electric signal (13) reproduced as an acoustic signal (7) by a speaker (3), and an echo canceller (15) using said signal (13) and an electric signal (10) from the microphone integrating the feedback of said signal (7), another speech signal (5) and noise (9) seized by the microphone (1), the system (15) being applied to eliminating said feedback, the proposed method and system providing an additional filtering of an electric output signal (11) of the canceling device (15), after treatment of said signal, comprising a time variant filter that suppresses the residual acoustic echo not cancelled by the system (15) and the noise seized by said microphone/s (1).

  • Patent number: 5964505
Abstract: An adjustable headrest assembly including a mounting post for mounting the headrest assembly to a vertically adjustable tower. The headrest including an elongated body portion extending horizontally between first and second ends and defining a tubular opening for receiving a mounting post for securing the headrest to the tower. A cavity is integrally formed in the first end of the body portion and a ratchet mechanism is disposed in the cavity for pivoting the headrest in both the forward and rearward direction. The ratchet mechanism including a ratchet pivotally support by the mounting post and a rack having a plurality of rack teeth mounted along an arcuate path in the cavity of the headrest body. The assembly further including a tower cover including an expandable window portion connected between the tower and the seat back for automatically expanding coverage of the tower upon movement of the tower between a lower position and a raised position.

  • Patent number: 5951039
Abstract: A vehicular seat assembly includes a seat bottom defining an occupant seating area. The seat bottom includes a cushion covered by a trim cover spanning opposed lateral sides of the seat bottom. A seat back defines an occupant back support and includes a cushion covered by a trim cover spanning opposed lateral sides of the seat back. An opening is formed in the cushion at one of the lateral sides of the seat back. An opening is formed in the trim cover at one of the lateral sides of the seat back. A cup is received in the opening formed in the cushion. A retaining ring is secured to the trim cover about the opening formed in the trim cover and attached to the cup.

  • Patent number: 5826946
Abstract: A vehicle seat assembly having a seat bottom and a seat back. The seat back includes a rigid frame supporting a resilient foam cushion encased by a trim cover material. The seat back has a cutaway section defining a void space in the foam cushion and two apertures in the trim cover material. A rigid support panel is secured to a corner of the seat back frame. The panel is seated in the cutaway section of the seat back frame to fill the void space in the foam cushion between the trim cover material and the seat back frame. The support panel has first and second openings for providing rigid passageways through the two apertures in the trim cover material. The first opening extends along a first axis for supporting a seat belt tower to the seat back frame. The second opening extends along a second axis traverse to the first axis for supporting a side impact air bag on the seat back frame.
