Abstract: A tunable lighting system includes a first LED having a first spectral output, a second LED having a second spectral output, and a correction circuit including a correction LED. The correction circuit in the tunable lighting system controls the correction LED to emit light that, when combined with light output from the first LED and light output from the second LED, produces a selected spectral characteristic.

Abstract: A device for coupling to a heat source, the device includes thermoelectric elements and a coupling magnet. The thermoelectric elements harvest heat to generate electric current. The coupling magnet provides a coupling force between the thermoelectric elements and the heat source. The coupling magnet regulates thermal flow between the thermoelectric elements and the heat source as a function of temperature of the coupling magnet. The device acts to protect the thermoelectric elements and other associated components from heat damage that might otherwise occur if the heat source generates too much heat.

Abstract: An energy management system for controlling energy to one or more loads powered by a thermoelectric module, the system is comprised of a load prioritization circuit having a monitoring system interfaced to receive sensor data from at least one sensor. A data processing device receives the sensor data. The data processing device acts upon the sensor data to produce energy management instructions. A control system receives the energy management instructions using them to control energy to all loads.

Abstract: An illumination device used to replace fluorescent light tubes. The illumination device comprises an LED light strip, a diffusion tube surrounding the LED light strip, and an end cap mounted on each end of the tube. Electrical connectors integrated with the end caps and make electrical connection with the LED light strip. The device may be hermetically sealed, use LED's to rectify the current, have a filament simulator with or without a visual indicator, two-sided or multi-sided light strips, light diffusing end caps and be filled with a life-extending gas. The illumination device results in an LED light tube with improved lighting uniformity, reduced energy consumption, improved ease of use and longer operating life.

Abstract: An arrangement of a multiplicity of LEDs, drive circuitry, and supporting structure to form a replacement for standard fluorescent tubes without the need to rewire or remove the magnetic or electronic ballasts in use in standard fluorescent fixtures.
Abstract: A circuit device for providing energy to at least one electrical component, such as a light emitting diode (LED). The circuit device comprises a positive contact, an inductor, a diode and a negative contact in series. A first component contact for electrical connection to a cathode end of an electrical component, a second component contact for electrical connection to an anode end of an electrical component, a switch and a control device are also included. The first component contact is electrically connected to a junction between the positive contact and one end of the inductor; and the second component contact is electrically connected to a cathode end of the diode. There are also provided a circuit device further including an LED, an assembly including a circuit device and a bulb base, a flashlight including an assembly, and a method of directly replacing a flashlight bulb.
