Abstract: Systems, software, and methods are provided for efficient, dynamic lighting control. In an embodiment, a two-channel LED lighting system is dynamically controlled to emulate dimming of an incandescent fixture. In an example, a lighting fixture may include red, green, blue, and white emitting LED modules. The lighting fixture may be controlled such that it produces generally white light from about 2150K candle light color to 5500K daylight white color with only 4 LEDs. Furthermore, the white LED may be controlled such that the white LED CRI is approximately 95 to ensure optimal results when mixed with red and green. In another embodiment, a dynamic two-channel LED lighting system is controlled to emulate dimming of an incandescent fixture. Specific dimming protocol can allow for efficient dimming which helps minimize the height of a linear light fixture and maintain diffusion with multiple colored point sources at minimal pitch.
Abstract: The invention relates to an assembly, on which a plurality of light-emitting diodes are arranged and spaced apart by intermediate Spaces. According to the invention, the assembly is developed further by the fact that the intermediate Spaces between the light-emitting diodes comprise a heat-resistant or fire-resistant or non-combustible material and/or that a front panel comprising a heat-resistant or fire-resistant or non-combustible material is provided. The invention also relates to a video board.
Abstract: A novel heat sinking technology, uniquely adaptive to LED lighting devices in a generally LED array format containing multiple openings on said heat sink's base portions and optionally fin portions providing “short path cooling” technology. The “short path cooling” technology is thoroughly taught with multiple examples. Also taught, are methods of heat sink area maintenance when said openings are placed on said heat sinks. Indeed, even surface area increases are shown to be possible when multiple openings are placed on said heat sinks. Lastly, other non-LED semiconductor cooling is discussed and illustrated in various figures using said “short path cooling” technology.
Abstract: A power and control assembly is disclosed. An LED driver is sized and adapted to fit within a single compartment of an electrical gang box, such as a two-gang box. An alternating current (AC) dimmer or other component is installed in an adjacent compartment. The AC dimmer supplies its output to the LED driver, which converts the AC power to an appropriate direct current (DC) power for LED lighting fixtures. The LED driver is typically recessed into the compartment, and is covered by a switch or another control element. In some cases, the switch may be a mechanical dummy selected for its aesthetic or fascial characteristics. In other cases, the switch or control element may be functional. With similar multiple-gang boxes, a number of drivers may be installed in the gang box and switches may allow both dimming and zone control.

Abstract: A strip of linear lighting with distributed power conversion is disclosed. The linear lighting includes a flexible PCB. The flexible PCB is divided into repeating blocks, which are arranged electrically in parallel with one another between power and ground. Each repeating block includes power conversion and conditioning circuits. A plurality of LED light engines are connected to the outputs of the power conversion and conditioning circuits, electrically in series with one another. The power conversion and conditioning circuits typically include at least a full-bridge rectifier, and a filter may be connected to each of the LED light engines. A pair of conductors run the length of the PCB adjacent to it and are connected to each of the repeating blocks. A flexible, transparent covering surrounds the PCB and pair of conductors.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a safety workbench, in which, for the purpose of calibrating the safety workbench before beginning regular operation, a device control unit is implemented to cause measurement means to ascertain an actual measured value, which is representative of a flow velocity achieved at normal fan performance, an analysis unit is implemented to compare the actual measured value to a starting setpoint value and, in case of an established deviation, to correct a stored starting limiting value in accordance with the deviation, or means for controlling the fan are implemented to operate the fan at a fan performance corresponding to a stored starting limiting value, a device control unit is implemented to cause the measurement means to ascertain an actual limiting measured value which is representative of the flow velocity achieved at the set fan performance, and a storage unit is implemented to store the actual limiting measured value as the corrected limiting value.

Abstract: A system and method for generating and modifying content for an LED sign comprising a database, a host server coupled to the database, and a processing element coupled to the host server. The database has a plurality of templates stored thereon, with at least one template having a plurality of versions, wherein each version has a different aspect ratio. The host server is configured to host a website on which it displays the plurality of templates. The host server is configured to receive via the website the user's selected template and the dimensions of the LED sign. The host server is configured to send the selected template and dimensions to the processing element. The processing element is configured to determine an optimum version of the selected template based on the dimensions of the LED sign. The processing element is configured to crop and size the optimum version to match the dimensions of the LED sign thereby forming a final version.

Abstract: A durable LED light engine includes a printed circuit board including LEDs mounted thereon positioned between a top enclosure and a bottom enclosure. Once assembled together, the combination of the top enclosure, the printed circuit board and the bottom enclosure are held together with a molding material. The top enclosure includes one or more integrated lenses for directing the illumination of the LEDs. The LED light engine may be mounted to a surface using a fastener passing through the combination of the top enclosure, the printed circuit board, and the bottom enclosure in the assembled LED light engine.
Abstract: A light therapy device including multiple light-emitting diodes (LEDs) positioned in a handheld, portable device is disclosed. The device including the LEDs are configured to have direct or nearly direct contact with the skin or tissue of the user without any intermediary materials, and light the surface and underlying layers of tissue for photodynamic stimulation of the user's cells. Housings for the devices may contain an arrangement of 12-600 LEDs on one or more circuit boards in an arrangement to provide even lighting over the skin or tissue surface. A plurality of devices may be connected together for treating larger areas of tissue. A belt may be used for keeping in position a plurality of therapeutic devices.
