Patents Assigned to Legris SAS
  • Patent number: 8398121
Abstract: Secure assembly of a tube coupled to a body having a bore. The coupling is provided by an insert mounted in the bore, a releasable internal retainer for retaining the tube in the bore, and a release member slidably moveable in the bore, the release member being pushable into the bore to release the retainer for uncoupling the tube from the body. A spacer is provided to prevent the release member from being pushed in. The spacer includes a clip portion inserted in a groove formed between a stationary surface of the body or the insert and an opposing shoulder surface of the release member which projects outside of the bore. The clip portion is connected by at least one breakable bridge portion to a locking portion which abuttably engages the tube to prevent the clip portion from being removed unless the bridge portion is broken by a user.

  • Patent number: 7887097
Abstract: Coupling device for a fluid circuit in a motor vehicle, the device including: a functional member of a plastic material that is provided with two or more types of connection, at least one of which includes a manually-accessible member projecting from the outside surface of the functional member; and a protective metal housing formed by two shells joined by a seam around the functional member, the housing being provided with a window giving access to the manually-accessible member.

  • Patent number: 7887242
Abstract: Device for coupling the ends of carrier tubes used for guiding and protecting a cable. The device includes axially juxtaposed first and second tubular bodies, each having a first end for connection to one of the tube ends and a second end for connecting the body portions and which coaxially receives a flexible tubular sealing member. The bodies are connected such that they are relatively movable between a first position in which the body bodies are close together and the sealing member is in a rest state, and a second position in which the bodies are spaced apart and in which surfaces thereof contact the sealing member to dispose it into an energized state wherein it is urged radially inward and has an inner diameter that is no greater than the outside diameter of the cable.

  • Patent number: 7845684
Abstract: A quick connector including a female part with a stepped bore arranged to receive an endpiece and a collar of a male part, and a latch including a ring in a housing arranged in the female part to slide radially between an eccentric position and a position coaxial with the bore, and the latch including a latching indicator mounted to slide radially in the ring between two indication positions, and at least one blocking member for blocking the indicator in a first indication position, the blocking member being movable between an indicator-blocking position and a retracted release position, and having a contact portion projecting into the female portion beyond the latch to co-operate with the collar in such a manner that the collar takes the blocking member into its release position when the male part is inserted into the female part.

  • Patent number: 7802822
Abstract: A quick connector including a female part, a male part, and a latch. The latch includes a latching ring which slides within a housing of the female part, and a backing ring which is fitted on the latching ring and is slidable relative thereto. As the male part is inserted into the female part, the latching ring locks the parts and a folded tab of the backing ring is raised to provide a visual indication that male part is locked in the female part.

  • Patent number: 7690694
Abstract: A quick coupling device comprising a body (5) axially subdivided into a link section (6) for linking to a first duct (1), and a connection section (7) arranged to receive in leaktight manner one end of a second duct (2), the body being associated with a retaining member (22) possessing tabs (24) that are elastically deformable between a state of gripping an outer bead (4) on the end of the second duct, and a state of releasing the bead, the retaining member being mounted on the body to turn between a free deformation position in which the tabs can deform between their two states, and at least one holding position in which the tabs cooperate with a surface (20, 21) that is secured to the body and that holds the tabs in one of their two states.

  • Patent number: 7654584
Abstract: A guide bushing for guiding a tubular element in a bore of a coupling, the bushing being provided externally with retaining elements for retaining the bushing in the bore, and internally with guide shoes for guiding the tubular element inside the bushing, the retaining elements and the guide shoes being associated with portions of the bushing that are deformable between a first state in which the retaining elements are in an active position anchoring the bushing in the bore and in which the shoes define a section for passing the tubular element, and a second state in which the retaining elements are in inactive position set back from their active position and in which the guide shoes define a section that is smaller than the section for passing the tubular element. The invention also provides a corresponding coupling.
