  • Patent number: 4123968
Abstract: A power vent is disclosed including a housing assembly having a base and a cylindrical, open ended shroud joined to the base and within which is supported a fan assembly. A wire frame is molded into the inner peripheral surface of the shroud to reinforce the shroud and also provide a bracket for supporting the motor of the fan assembly. A molded plastic hood including hood support brackets is securable to the shroud so that the assembly may be employed as a roof vent. In another embodiment, the base of the housing may be shaped to receive a louver assembly and the assembly may be used as a gable end vent.

  • Patent number: 4101107
Abstract: A bracket includes an anchor plate for mounting on the front face of a narrow vertical member such as a stud and having a channel-like opening for pivotally supporting a hanger member. The support member has a pair of fingers spaced apart a distance greater than the width of the vertical member and connected by a cross member integral with the fingers and including an offset central section having a pair of vertical legs. The side legs of the central section are spaced apart less than the width of the vertical member. When the support member is in an extended, operational position, the side legs rest against the vertical front face of the vertical member to limit further downward pivotal movement of the support member under the influence of gravity. The support member pivots upward with respect to the bracket to a retracted storage position where the fingers are stowed adjacent the sides of the vertical member and the side legs limit further rearward movement.

  • Patent number: 4074884
Abstract: A bracket mounted on a vertical surface has an anchor plate with a vertical, rearwardly opening channel for supporting an article carrying support arm having a vertical leg pivotally seated in the channel and an outwardly projecting leg for article support. The upper portion of the anchor plate, including the channel, is forwardly inclined along a horizontal fold line to form a downwardly recessed seat for the support arm. The recessed seat positively positions the arm to extend outwardly with respect to the vertical surface to which the anchor plate is attached. The bracket has a stored or retracted position wherein the outwardly projecting leg of the support arm is positioned between the vertical mounting surface and the forwardly inclined portion of the anchor plate so the support arm is stored parallel to the vertical surface.

  • Patent number: 4060266
Abstract: A surface bolt adapted to be mounted on an inner or outer surface of a closure member, such as a door or window, the bolt being slidable in guides between positions into and out of engagement with a keeper. One of the guides is provided with means to receive the bow of a padlock in two positions, in one position to prevent unlocking of the bolt or, in the other position to prevent locking of the bolt. The bolt may have a recess extending across its outer surface, positioned and dimensioned to be engaged by one of the guides in the locking position of the bolt and to be resiliently and releasably held in such engaged position by a spring.

  • Patent number: 4050277
Abstract: A multistation roll form machine for forming an article of complex shape such as a roof ridge vent having integral dams along the inner lateral edges of the ventilation panels includes a longitudinally extending support frame, a first group of individual roll forming stations, a lancing subassembly and a second group of individual roll forming stations. Each of the individual stations includes upper and lower roller die sets for continuously and progressively bending the stock material as it is fed through the machine. The first group of roll forming stations progressively bends the stock on itself to form dam portions integral with the lateral edges of the ventilation panels. The lancing subassembly positioned immediately downstream of the first group of individual stations, includes two pairs of outer and inner lancing rolls having teeth formed around their circumferences which lance the stock to form the ventilation openings.
