Abstract: The present invention discloses a process for dimethylation of active methylene groups. Specifically, the invention discloses a process for preparing 3-amino-2,2-dimethylpropanamide. Abstract: The present invention provides a pharmaceutical composition comprising at least one active pharmaceutical ingredient comprising sulphonylurea moiety, wherein the at least one active pharmaceutical ingredient comprising sulphonylurea moiety is intimately mixed with a basic agent.
