Abstract: A roll baler including circumferentially rotatable conveyor elements limiting a compression space therebetween, and a device for wrapping up a roll bale, which is formed in the compression space, with a section of a sheath web, the wrapping-up device including a pivotable start-up element for pressing the sheath web, against a surface of one of the rotatable conveyor elements, a separation element for cutting the sheath web off after the wrapping-up process ends and pivotable between cutting and non-cutting positions, and a common pivot axle for supporting the start-up element and separation element for pivotal movement.

Abstract: A binding device for a baler including at least one twine needle, a knotter shaft for driving the needle, a one-stop clutch for connecting the knotter shaft with the plunger drive and for intermittently driving the knotter shaft, and a transmission unit provided between the one-stop clutch and the knotter shaft and including elements which insure that for one complete revolution of the one-stop clutch, the knotter shaft also performs one complete revolution but with a higher speed than the one-stop clutch.

Abstract: A method of producing high-density bales from harvest products in a bale press with a variable volume compression chamber which is circumferentially limited by belts, a chain conveyor rolls and which yields to a force imparted by preloaded means, with the method including controlling a pressing power applied to a harvest product by the belts, the chain conveyor and the rolls dependent on a driving torque of the bale press, and automatically increasing the pressing power during formation of a bale upon an interruption of product delivery or a relative reduction in the product delivery into the compression chamber of the bale press; and a bale press for effecting the method.
