Abstract: A closed-loop current transducer comprising a magnetic circuit core made of a material with a low magnetic reluctance to conduct magnetic flux and concentrate a magnetic field, a magnetic field detector positioned in a magnetic circuit gap of the magnetic circuit core, and a compensation coil assembly comprising a compensation coil and a compensation coil support comprising a coil support bobbin, the compensation coil being wound around the coil support bobbin. The magnetic circuit comprises a first longitudinal branch, a second longitudinal branch, and first and second end branches interconnecting the first and second longitudinal branches such that the branches surround a central opening configured to receive one or more primary conductors therethrough, the magnetic circuit being formed of first and second parts assembled together from opposed ends of the compensation coil support.

Abstract: A current transducer including a housing comprising an outer casing, a magnetic circuit core configured to encircle at least one primary conductor, and a magnetic field detector positioned in a magnetic circuit gap of the magnetic circuit core. The housing further includes an inner support part comprising a main body portion and a magnetic core support portion. The magnetic circuit core is in the form of a thin strip of amorphous material supported on the main body portion and magnetic core support portion, the magnetic circuit gap being formed between overlapping ends of the strip.

Abstract: Closed loop current transducer includes a fluxgate sensing unit, a compensation coil wound around the fluxgate sensing unit, and a transducer housing mounted around the compensation coil, the fluxgate sensing unit comprising a fluxgate housing, a ring-shaped fluxgate magnetic field detector mounted in the fluxgate housing, and a magnetic shield mounted in the fluxgate housing, the magnetic shield surrounding the fluxgate magnetic field detector. The fluxgate housing includes first and second central parts, each central part comprising a radially inner side wall, a radially outer side wall and a base wall joining the inner side wall to the outer side wall, a sensor housing portion being formed on one side of the base wall and receiving the fluxgate magnetic field detector therein.
