Abstract: A cable stripping tool for removing an outer protective jacket of a cable. The cable stripping tool is used to remove a pre-defined amount of the jacket in one rotation of the cable stripping tool. The cable stripping tool allows the rotation of the cable stripping tool by hand during jacket removal in tight areas, where other stripping tools are too difficult to use. The cable stripping tool includes a main body and a cutting blade. The main body includes a blade half and a clamping half. The main body is preferably made from a plastic material to lower production cost, but can be made from marry other types of materials. The blade half and clamping half are binged together by a hinge pin. An inside surface of each half together form a cable receiving area between each other to receive the cable, when the halves are mated and closed.

Abstract: The present invention is a cable preparation tool which allows the preparation of a coaxial cable having a corrugated outer conductor to receive a connector in one step. The tool allows for the control of trim dimensions for each component of the cable without measuring. No matter whether the end of the cable before preparation is at the crest or valley of the outer conductor, the tool provides the correct trim dimensions for each component and stops cutting when these dimensions are reached. The cable preparation tool includes a main body having a cable receiving end, cable receiving area for stripping of the cable such that the crests and valleys are exposed, and a crest and valley locating system as part of the main body for locating the exposed crests and valleys of the corrugated conductor. The crest and valley locating system includes at least one valley locator unit extending into the cable receiving area and a spring that biases the valley locator unit into the cable receiving area.

Abstract: A hand-held mechanism for holding staples. The invention comprises a flexible member having a substantially flat main section and at least one handle extending therefrom. The main section has a plurality of first slots for holding staples, the slots extending at an angle to facilitate the placement and attachment of the staples. The invention further comprises a plurality of second slots interspersed to either hold different sized staples or aid in aligning the first slots with the workpiece.

Abstract: A stripping tool for removing annular insulation from between the conductors of a coaxial cable includes a stripping bit having a pair of longitudinally extending flutes, cutting edges at the head of the bit, a stop shoulder remote from the cutting edges having an outer diameter greater than the diameter of the head and a recessed connecting portion between the head and shoulder having a diameter less than the diameter of the head.
