Abstract: A flush-mounted fireplace assembly comprising a surround structure configured to encompass a perimeter of an opening in a mounting wall and a bezel structure configured to fit within the outer surround structure. An inner edge of the surround structure and an outer edge of the bezel structure oppose each other and define a gap between inner edge and outer edge such that air can flow through the gap. An outside major surface of the surround structure and an outside major surface of the bezel structure are substantially co-planar with each other and with an exterior surface of the mounting wall.

Abstract: A fireplace liner comprising a first panel configured to be located in front of a fireplace burner assembly that has a lateral dimension that extends across a viewing window of a fireplace box. The first panel is configured to extend laterally along the lateral dimension, and, a rear end of the first panel, nearest to the burner assembly, includes a first trough having a vertical wall with a plurality of first slots therein. The linear comprises a second panel configured to be located behind the burner assembly in the box. The second panel is configured to extend laterally along the lateral dimension, and a front end of the second panel, nearest to the burner assembly, includes a second trough having another vertical wall with a plurality of second slots therein. The first and second slots permit secondary air flow there-through.

Abstract: A burner assembly for a fireplace, comprising a fuel-metering plate, a fuel-delivery plenum and a dividing plate. The fuel metering plate has tines that form a combed structure in an uppermost portion of the fuel-metering plate, the combed structure extending along a long dimension of the fuel-metering plate. The fuel-delivery plenum has a fuel chamber and the fuel-delivery plenum being coupled to the fuel-metering plate such that the fuel chamber extends along the long dimension of the fuel metering plate. The dividing plate is located between the fuel-metering plate and the fuel-delivery plenum. The dividing plate has a slotted opening that extends along the long dimension of the fuel metering plate, the slotted opening being in fluid communication with individual channels between the tines and with the fuel chamber.

Abstract: A heat deflection member having a first bend along a central axis of the heat deflection member that forms first and second opposing panels, and opposing first and second parallel edges of the heat deflection member having second and third bends formed parallel the central axis that form opposing first and second coupling flanges along at least a portion of a length of the opposing edges. A method of manufacturing a fireplace baffle and a pre-fabricated fireplace are also provided.

Abstract: A fireplace insert comprising: a gas burner, a fuel/air control valve coupled to the gas burner, a blower coupled to the gas burner, and a controller coupled to the fuel/air control valve and the blower; wherein the controller controls at least one operational parameter of the fuel/air control valve and the blower to produce a flame pattern generated by the gas burner. A method of manufacturing is also provided.

Abstract: One aspect provides a vent pipe section that comprises a body member having first and second ends and a central axis along a length thereof, a latch receiving member protruding from a side surface of and coupled to the body member and located adjacent one of the first or second ends, a movable latch attached to the body member and located adjacent an end opposite to that of the latch receiving member and configured to cooperatively engage the latch receiving member and exert a locking force along the central axis of the body member. This embodiment further includes a stop located on an outer surface of the body member adjacent the second end. A method of manufacture is also provided.

Abstract: A swaging machine comprising an inner die assembly and an outer die assembly. The inner die assembly includes die parts that are configured to fit together to form an adjustable cylindrical die set that contacts an inside surface circumventing a cylindrically-shaped work piece mounted around the adjustable cylindrical die set. The outer die assembly includes one or more moveable dies that are each configured, at any given moment, to contact a single tangential plane passing through an outside surface of the cylindrically-shaped work piece.
