Abstract: Devices and methods for adjusting the position of liquid cooling system infrastructure of a computing system comprising liquid-cooled memory modules to provide improved systems and techniques for servicing liquid-cooled memory modules are disclosed herein. According to an aspect, a device includes a table section, a handle on a first side of the table section, and a spreader section on a second side of the table section opposite from the first side, the spreader section further comprising a profile. The profile of the spreader section comprises a first pair of a flat surfaces parallel to each other, defining a first width. The profile of the spreader section further comprises a second pair of flat surfaces parallel to each other, defining a second width perpendicular to the first width, the second width being longer than the first width.
Abstract: Systems, computing devices, and methods for authenticating privileged subsystem access by policy and by use of a security key generated at boot are disclosed herein. According to an aspect, a method includes generating a security key upon boot of a host-facing interface for a client. The method also includes communicating the security key to a baseboard management controller. Further, the method includes authenticating, to the host-facing interface commands, based on the security key. The method may also include implementing a policy associated with the security key. Further, in response to determining that a received command is not allowed by policy or the security key is not authenticated, an external server port or debug header may be disabled to prevent execution of the command.
Abstract: A printed circuit board having one or more holes that are controllably drilled to extend into the printed circuit board substrate to a predetermined depth intermediate first and second faces. A mechanical locating pin is received into each of the one or more holes to mechanically align a first component for electronically interfacing with the printed circuit board substrate. A second component is installed on the second face directly opposite of the one or more holes such that the second component is in electronic communication with conductive traces or interconnects formed on the second face directly opposite of the hole.
Abstract: A hardware system comprises a master device and a slave device that are coupled by a signal line. A frequency generator in the master device places a selected frequency signal on the signal line. A frequency detector/comparator in the slave device, which is coupled to the signal line, determines whether the selected frequency signal on the signal line matches a predetermined frequency for the slave device. If the selected frequency signal matches the predetermined frequency, then a chip select node on the slave device is enabled, in order to permit a data exchange session between the master device and the slave device.
