Patents Assigned to Lentek International Inc.
  • Publication number: 20040123512
Abstract: An insect trapping apparatus and associated method attracts insects, such as mosquitos, by emitting a carbon dioxide gas as an insect attractant and producing a heat signature from the insect trap characteristic of a warm blooded animal and a blue light of a wavelength that attracts insects into the insect trap. The carbon dioxide gas is exhausted together with moisture through a vertically extending exhaust tube to minimize cooling of the carbon dioxide gas and minimize condensation of moisture while attracting insects through an inflow channel of an insect trap to trap the insects therein.

  • Patent number: 6655080
Abstract: An apparatus and method for trapping insects, such as mosquitos, is disclosed. A gas source emits a gas for attracting insects. An insect trap barrel assembly is spaced from the gas source and includes a cylindrically configured housing having an outer wall surface. An air intake wall is spaced from the outer wall surface and defines an annular configured air inflow channel. A fan assembly is mounted within the housing and communicates with the air inflow channel and draws outside air into the housing and traps insects that are drawn into the housing with the inflow of air. The air intake wall is dimensioned and spaced from the outer wall such that the inflow of air into the inflow channel creates a substantially laminar flow of air along the outer wall surface of the housing.

  • Publication number: 20020098130
Abstract: An apparatus for purifying and deodorizing air includes a housing and electrode positioned within the housing and having a plurality of emitter members extending from the electrode. A collector plate is mounted within the housing and has a plurality of holes such that a hole is positioned adjacent a respective emitter member. A high voltage generating source is positioned within the housing for applying a high voltage between the electrode and collector plate. The emitter members are moveable relative to the holes within the collector plate for selecting between: (a) an oxidating mode of operation that enhances ozone production to allow an oxygen to split off therefrom for oxidizing and neutralizing pollutants, and (b) an ionic release mode of operation for enhancing the generation of positive and negative ions such that negative ions attach to pollutants that drop out of the air.

  • Publication number: 20020096125
Abstract: A hair grooming device includes a casing having a handle section adapted to be grasped by hand and a hair engaging section and respective planar attachment surface on which hair grooming tools are attached. A voltage generator is contained within the casing. An electrode assembly is mounted within the hair engaging section and operatively connected to the voltage generator for generating ionized and ionized air onto hair to be groomed. An ultrasonic wave generator is mounted within the hair engaging section and operatively connected to the voltage generator for generating ultrasonic waves onto hair for repelling fleas.
