Abstract: A scrubber tower of a flue gas purification device, comprising: a flue gas entrance and a flue gas exit, a liquid entrance and a liquid exit, a contact area for said flue gas and said liquid between said flue gas entrance and said liquid entrance, at least one tray installation positioned within said contact area and across at least 50% of a horizontal extension of said contact area. The tray installation provides a multiplicity of through openings for said flue gas and said liquid respectively, which through openings being adjustable individually, in groups or all together in their respective cross sections.

Abstract: Fluidized bed apparatus, comprising a circulating fluidized bed reactor with at least one outlet port at its upper part, wherein said outlet port allows a mixture of gas and solid particles exhausted from the fluidized bed reactor to flow into a number (n) of associated separators for separating solid particles from said gas, a number (n) of means to transfer said separated solid particles from said (n) separators into a number (up to n) of discrete fluidized bed heat exchangers (24.1, 24.2, 24.3), and return means to transport at least part of said solid particles back from said discrete fluidized bed heat exchangers (24) into the circulating fluidized bed reactor, wherein the number (up to n) of discrete fluidized bed heat exchangers (24.1, 24.2, 24.3) are mechanically connected to provide one common fluidized bed heat exchanger (24)mwith water cooled intermediate walls (24i) between adjacent discrete fluidized bed heat exchangers (24.1, 24.2, 24.3).

Abstract: The invention relates to a process and a device for the removal of dust, HF, HCl, SO2, SO3, heavy metals, heavy-metal compounds, polyhalogenated hydrocarbons and polycyclic hydrocarbons from combustion flue gases by treating the pollutant-containing combustion flue gases with a sorbent in a circulating fluidized bed. The process is characterized in that the sorbent used is a mixture of Ca(OH)2, at least one naturally occurring zeolite and a carbon-containing substance, in that the treatment of the pollutant-containing combustion flue gases with the sorbent is carried out at from 120 to 180° C.

Abstract: A flue gas purification device comprising a receptacle, which has a scrubbing liquid sump comprising an oxidation device for introducing oxygen, wherein the introduction of oxygen is realized by at least one plate aerator.
Abstract: A flue gas purification device includes a receptacle, which has an absorption zone, through which the supplied glue gas can flow in an essentially horizontal direction.
Abstract: A device provides the purification of flue gas comprising a scrubbing liquid sump divided into several basins and a pump device, which pumps the scrubbing liquid from at least one basin of the scrubbing liquid sump to scrubbing liquid nozzles.
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and an installation for separating sulphur dioxide from exhaust gas, wherein sea water is added to the exhaust gas in an absorption column and the sea water charged with sulphur compounds is extracted from the liquid sump of the absorption column and fresh sea water is added thereto. In order to omit the very expensive and large secondary reaction basis according to the state of the art, it is proposed to extract the liquid, which contains the bisulphates, from the liquid sump of the absorption column and to mix it with fresh sea water in a pipeline for the purpose of sulphate formation and pH adjustment (neutralization). The invention is based upon the finding that the sulphate formation and pH adjustment are completed after a reaction time comprised between 1 and 2 minutes. Thus, the large and expensive secondary reaction basin can be omitted.
