Abstract: An alternating current motor may include a rotor configured to rotate about a longitudinal axis, the rotor comprising a diametrically magnetized permanent magnet. Furthermore, the alternating current motor may include stationary coils having a magnetic axis substantially perpendicular to the rotor's longitudinal axis, the stationary coils adapted to the rotor's outer periphery and being substantially coaxial with the rotor's longitudinal axis. In addition, the alternating current motor may include a stator adapted to the stationary coils' outer periphery and being substantially coaxial with the rotor's longitudinal axis, wherein the diametrically magnetized permanent magnet is configured to cause the rotor's oscillation angle to vary no more than 30% between the rotor's oscillation angle at a beginning value of a frequency range of an alternating current in the stationary coil and the rotor's oscillation angle at an ending value of the frequency range of the alternating current in the stationary coil.

Abstract: An apparatus for personal hygiene which includes a reservoir for containing liquid to be applied to selected parts of the body is provided with a dispenser containing a dentifrice to be dispensed therefrom upon demand. The dispenser is adapted to be housed in the bottom part of the casing of the apparatus. The dispenser is provided with a dentifrice container closed at the bottom by a flexible membrane and with an intermediate wall located above this membrane defining upper and lower container compartments. The intermediate wall includes an opening which permits communication between the two compartments. A closure finger attached to the membrane opposite the opening in the intermediate wall is adapted to be shifted between positions at which it is spaced from the opening and also disposed within the opening. In this manner, pressure applied to the membrane causes the closure finger to enter the opening and permits a measured quantity of the dentifrice to be taken off from the lower compartment.

Abstract: A nozzle assembly for coupling with the outlet of a rinsing device. The assembly includes a two-part nozzle holder, with one part having a pair of diametrically opposite grooves. Each of the grooves has one groove section inclined to the axis of the nozzle holder and a second groove section which merges into the first. The second section is oriented perpendicular to the axis of the nozzle holder. The other part of the nozzle holder includes a pair of projections deposed in the grooves. Rotation of one part of the holder with respect to the other causes a valve assembly to open and close. The valve assembly includes an internal pin within the nozzle assembly. The pin has a rounded head and forms the closing member. It is situated within a flow passage defined by a bushing having an inner sleeve. Axial grooves may be provided to facilitate assembly of the two-part nozzle.

Abstract: This hydraulic apparatus for body care, notably buccal care, and for supplying a liquid to a hand appliance, comprises a casing enclosing a pump and power means for driving the pump. The pump input is connected via a valved coupling to the bottom of the detachable reservoir containing the liquid, and the pump output is connected via a hose to the hand appliance. The valved coupling comprises a movable valve member having a flat annular valve surface adapted to engage a registering flat annular seat consisting of the marginal portion of an opening formed in the bottom of the reservoir, when the latter is removed from the casing. Spring means constantly urge the valve member to its seated position.

Abstract: A return pipe for recycling liquid from a handpiece of a pulsed-liquid hygiene apparatus to a hydraulic motor is connected to the top of a relief flue above the working chamber of the motor by a coupling element which imparts a helicoidal movement to the returned liquid thus slowing its fall in the flue.
