Patents Assigned to Leverage Information Systems, Inc.
  • Patent number: 11282380
Abstract: A detection and response device for a surveillance system detects events, responds to events, or both. The detection and response device may be used with or provided by a variety of surveillance systems, including peer to peer surveillance architectures. The device may utilize one or more defined geospaces. If an event occurs in a geospace a predefined response may then be provided. The predefined response may include automatically targeting one or more cameras to areas relevant to the event and presenting one or more predefined views optimized for viewing the event. If an event does not occur within a geospace, the detection and response device may provide one or more default responses.

  • Patent number: 10721649
Abstract: A connection node provides a high bandwidth connection on demand to mobile units that are in need of increased bandwidth for data transfers. In this manner, the connection node can supplement the bandwidth available to a mobile unit so that large volumes of data can be communicated to and from the mobile unit. A movable antenna automatically focuses its reception area on the mobile unit's location, after which, a high bandwidth connection can be established for high-speed data transfer. The high bandwidth connection is maintained, such as by tracking the mobile unit with the antenna, even if the mobile unit is moving.

  • Patent number: 9918046
Abstract: A peer to peer surveillance architecture comprising a plurality of independent nodes for capturing, analyzing, storing, and viewing surveillance information is disclosed. The surveillance architecture has no central controller or single point of failure because of the peer to peer or independent relationship between its nodes. Generally, surveillance information of various types is captured by one or more capture nodes and transmitted to or one or more viewing, content storage, or server nodes for display, analysis, storage, or a combination thereof. Server nodes may provide authentication services to validate user or device credentials prior to granting access to surveillance information. In one or more embodiments, specialized video compression hardware is provided to allow high quality video surveillance information to be transmitted across low bandwidth connections. Compression may also be performed on other types of surveillance information.
