Patents Assigned to LG Electroncis Inc.
  • Patent number: 9444217
Abstract: A laser diode includes a laser diode emitting light due to an electrical signal; a wavelength conversion plate for shifting the wavelength of the light emitted from the laser diode; a reflecting part for reflecting the light emitted from the laser diode towards the wavelength conversion plate; and a projecting part for emitting, in the forward direction, the light shifted by the wavelength conversion plate. The laser diode can provide a high-power but small-sized laser light source device, and a narrow emission angle can be achieved using the laser diode.

  • Patent number: 8135085
Abstract: According to one embodiment, a method for transmitting signals to a receiver, performed by a transmitter including a plurality of antennas, includes: selecting a precoding matrix based on a multiplexing rate (R) by selecting R column vectors from a single matrix corresponding to a maximum multiplexing rate, wherein each column vector of a first precoding matrix corresponding to a first multiplexing rate is included as a part of column vectors of a second precoding matrix corresponding to a second multiplexing rate when the second multiplexing rate is greater than the first multiplexing rate; precoding the signals using the selected precoding matrix; and transmitting the precoded signals to the receiver.

  • Patent number: 7561513
Abstract: A method and apparatus for controlling a packet terminating call in a mobile communication system enables a termination subscriber to selectively receive the packet terminating call addressed to the subscriber. This is accomplished by determining whether to set the terminating call of the received packet based on preset packet terminating call filtering information and then setting the terminating call based on a result of determination, so that the subscriber can actively use the packet radio network service. Also, since packets unnecessary to the subscriber are intercepted early, the load of packet network nodes is significantly reduced and the use efficiency of wire/radio resources is vastly improved.

  • Patent number: 7546202
Abstract: Searching for a Point of Interest (POI) in a navigation apparatus includes accessing a preset driving route that includes a group of route points. A POI is associated with each route point in the group. The associated POIs are stored in a first storing unit. A current position of a moving object is determined. After storing the associated POIs, a current route point corresponding to the current position of the moving object is selected from among the group of route points. The POI associated with the current route point is accessed from storage, and information associated with the POI associated with the current route point is accessed from storage and outputted.

  • Patent number: 7366156
Abstract: Disclosed is a context synchronization method in a mobile communication system dealing with a packet transmission/reception. If two peers of a protocol have the same information and their data are not frequently updated, the invention makes the QUERY about the STATUS or CONTEXT of the relative side to acquire the previous information of the relative side, thereby enabling to cope with the situation more flexibly. In a protocol of a radio system having a client and a server communicating with each other, the invention includes the steps of performing idle and normal procedures in the client, performing a recovery procedure if an error occurs in performing the idle and normal procedures, and performing a re-attach procedure and an activation procedure according to the error and an error occurring point.

  • Patent number: 5739778
Abstract: Digital data formatting/deformatting circuits perform digital data formatting/deformatting operations separately from a digital signal processor to reduce the required time and power consumption in formatting and deformatting digital data. In the formatting operation, the data to be formatted are arranged in a line and then outputted in the unit of a desired number of bits. In the deformatting operation, the formatted data are arranged in a line and then outputted in the unit of the original number of bits.
