Abstract: A device, system and method for performing an uncontrolled handover in a mobile station, a ranging request message including an identifier of a serving base station and a first identifier used in the serving base station is transmitted to a first target base station to perform network (re)entry to the first target base station, and a ranging response message including security information and a second identifier for identifying the mobile station is received from the first target base station.

Abstract: A mobile terminal and method of controlling a broadcast therein are provided by which a broadcast signal can be received and outputted in a manner of setting a frequency band corresponding to a visited country in case of international roaming of the mobile terminal. A memory may store per-country broadcast relevant information and a controller may search the memory for broadcast relevant information corresponding to a visited country in case of detecting international migration. The controller may set the searched broadcast relevant information when the search for the broadcast relevant information corresponding to the visited country is successful.

Abstract: A method of moving a receiving window in a wireless mobile communication system, wherein the AM RLC of the transmitting side sends information of the last discarded SDU regardless of continuity of the discarded SDUs. The AM RLC of the receiving side checks whether all SDUs from the start point of the receiving window up to the last discarded SDU are successfully received, delivers the SDUs that are successfully received to an upper layer, and discard only those SDUs that are not successfully received.

Abstract: In wireless network communication, the present invention provides a method of checking whether information on a request for a mode change is received for a prescribed channel time in a manner that a device configuring a network enters a power save mode in the course of not performing data transmission/reception and that a modem enters an awake state from a sleep state for the prescribed channel time. And, the prescribed channel time is determined to correspond to a time for transmitting a beacon. According to one preferred embodiment of the present invention, a modem of a device in a power save mode enters an awake state for a channel time period for broadcasting a beacon and then checks whether information on a power management mode change is received. If the information does not exist, a sleep state is reentered. If the power management mode change information is received, a power is managed by performing data transmission/reception in a manner of switching to a normal mode.

Abstract: A protocol for a peer power save mode (PPSM) in a tunneled direct link setup (TDLS) wireless network and a system therefor are provided. A station (STA) set up a TDLS link can send a frame having a power management bit set to a peer STA to enter into a power save mode (PSM). In this case, the station entering into the PSM operates in a PPSM client mode. When the peer STA operates in the PPSM client mode, the STA can operate in the PPSM access point (AP) mode or can enter into the PPSM client mode. The STA operating in the PPSM AP mode buffers data for the STA operating in the PPSM client mode and informs the peer STA of information indicating that there is buffered data by the use of a peer traffic indication frame or the like. In principle, a U-APSD procedure can be applied to the transmission of data through a direct link from the STA operating in the PPSM AP mode to the STA operating in the PPSM client mode.

Abstract: A multimode mobile terminal and communication method thereof are discussed, by which communication is enabled using various networks. The method according to an embodiment includes a display unit configured to display a plurality of currently available networks detected by the terminal, each network being a different network type, a user input unit configured to generate a selection signal for a specific network of the plurality of currently available networks in response to a user input, a controller operatively connected to the display unit and user input unit and configured to control communication carried out via the specific network selected via the user input unit, and a wireless communication unit operatively connected to the controller and configured to carry out the communication via the specific network.

The invention includes receiving communications on a first frequency, receiving information on the first frequency, wherein the information indicates at least one transmission frequency having no associated uplink service, and determining not to search for any transmission frequency having no associated uplink service different from the at least one transmission frequency.

Abstract: A method of transmitting a control signal in a wireless communication system is provided. The method includes acquiring a resource index, the number of cyclic shifts (CSs) and a CS interval, wherein the number of CSs is an integer multiple of the CS interval, determining a CS index based on the number of CSs and the CS interval, generating a cyclically shifted sequence by cyclically shifting a base sequence by a CS amount obtained from the CS index, generating a modulated sequence based on the cyclically shifted sequence and a symbol for a control signal and transmitting the modulated sequence after mapping the modulated sequence to a resource block obtained from the resource index.

Abstract: A receiving system and a method of processing broadcast signal are disclosed herein. The receiving system includes a signal receiving unit, an equalizer, an inner decoder, a reliability adjustor, and an outer decoder. The signal receiving unit receives a broadcast signal and demodulates the received broadcast signal, wherein the broadcast signal comprises a data group including mobile service data and multiple known data sequences. The equalizer uses the known data sequences to channel-equalize data group included in the demodulated broadcast signal. The inner decoder matches mobile service data within the data group, which are inputted in a block-size for turbo-decoding, with mobile service data being symbol-decoded and fed-back, thereby performing trellis-decoding. The reliability adjustor adjusts a reliability level of the mobile service data based upon positions within the data group of the trellis-decoded mobile service data.

Abstract: The present invention relates to laundry machines, and, more particularly, to a safe laundry machine which enables a user to open/close a door easily, and can prevent an accident caused by opening/closing of the door from taking place. If a cell for a reserved recording list is added to an EPG (Electronic Program Guide), a user can easily check, modify, or delete all information associated with the reserved recording on the EPG, such that the user can conveniently manage the reserved recording information on the EPG. A method for managing reserved recording information of a broadcast receiver includes the steps of: a) receiving a reserved recording signal of a specific program; b) storing reserved recording information of the program on the basis of the reserved recording signal; and c) loading the stored reserved recording information, inserting the loaded reserved recording information into a pre-stored Electronic Program Guide (EPG), and creating an EPG-reserved recording list.
