Abstract: Provided is a motor shaft supporting structure for reducing noises when a motor operates in a refrigerator. In the motor shaft supporting structure for a refrigerator, a bearing housing supports a motor shaft in an axial direction of the motor shaft. The motor shaft is coupled to a blower fan. A bearing is inserted in the bearing housing for rotatably supporting the motor shaft. An ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) sheet is disposed on a portion of the bearing housing for supporting the motor shaft in the axial direction of the motor shaft.
Abstract: A method of coding a moving picture is provided that reduces blocking artifacts. The method can include defining a plurality of defining pixels S0, S1, and S2, which are centered around a block boundary. If a default mode is selected then frequency information of the surroundings of the block boundary is obtained. A magnitude of a discontinuous component in a frequency domain belonging to the block boundary is adjusted based on a magnitude of a corresponding discontinuous component selected from a pixel contained entirely within a block adjacent the block boundary. The frequency domain adjustment is then applied to a spatial domain. Or, a DC offset mode can be selected to reduce blocking artifacts in smooth regions where there is little motion.
Abstract: An RF switch is disclosed. Power of an amplifier installed in an RF switch of a TV receiver is adjusted by using a Schmitt trigger circuit. If an output voltage of an RF automatic gain controller of a tuner is greater than a pre-set upper limit threshold value, the amplifier is turned on, whereas if an output voltage of an RF automatic gain controller of a tuner is smaller than a pre-set lower limit threshold value, the amplifier is turned off. Thus, a signal distortion phenomenon that may occur when an infinitesimal signal, a strong signal and several signals with high power levels are adjacent to each other can be avoided, so a performance of a receiving unit is improved.
Abstract: A backlight assembly of an LCD is provided. The backlight assembly includes a lamp for generating a light, a light guide plate disposed at a side of the lamp, for guiding the light, and a diffusion sheet and a prism sheet disposed on the light guide plate, for enhancing efficiency of the light outputted from the light guide plate, wherein the prism sheet comprises a body part and a plurality of protrusion parts each having a concavely inclined surface formed on the body part.

Abstract: An overhead message and a method of performing channel hashing using the same are provided. The overhead message includes first and second fields of an extended CDMA channel list message (ECCLM). The first field contains information indicating whether the ECCLM includes at least one frequency assignment of list of frequency assignments that allows packet data support for a forward packet data channel or a 1×EV-DV system and the second field indicates whether each frequency assignment allows such support, thereby enabling channel hashing to be performed by a packet-data-supportable mobile station of a communication system.

Abstract: A technique for transmitting the same moving picture (video) to a plurality of terminals suitable for presenting a moving picture (video) performance by using a mobile communication terminal in an open area such as an athletic field. The method includes a first step in which a UMTS (Universal Mobile Telecommunications System) system removes headers added in a BMC SDU (Broadcast/Multicast Control Service Data Unit) and transmits it to a terminal. A second step is performed in the terminal and involves checking input of a broadcast service key signal by a user and reads an SIB (System Information Block) transmitted from a base station, modular-calculates an IMSI (International Mobile Subscriber Identity) value and selects a corresponding S-CCPCH (Secondary Common Control Physical Channel).
Abstract: Bonding pad(s) for a printed circuit board with circuit patterns are provided. The bonding pad(s) include a plurality of copper patterns formed on the PCB and electrically connected to the circuit patterns, a filler filled between the copper patterns such that an upper surface of the copper pattern is exposed, and a plating layer applied at an upper surface of the copper patterns. An interval between wire bonding pad(s) is reduced by preventing a nickel plating layer and a gold plating layer from protruding at a lower portion of a copper pattern when they are formed on the copper patterns.
Abstract: An initialization file download method of a cable modem includes the steps of: registering configuration file name information in a DHCP server; receiving the configuration file name information registered in the DHCP server; comparing the received first configuration file name information with a previously stored second configuration file name information; downloading the received first configuration file name information, if the received first configuration file name/version is more updated file than the second configuration file name/version upon comparison; updating the memory with the downloaded first configuration file name information; and registering a cable modem by using the received first configuration file name information. Since the configuration file for initializing the cable modem is downloaded, there is no need to download the configuration file in the initializing process, so that the time required for initializing process can be shortened at the maximum.
