Abstract: The invention relates to a composition for the purification of flue gas containing 35 to 99 wt. % of a powder of an alkali metal salt of carbonic acid and 1 to 65 wt. % of a powder of an absorptive material, wherein the powder of an absorptive material has a specific pore volume that is equal to or greater than 0.1 cm3/g. The invention also relates to a process for dry flue gas purification and the use of an absorptive material to improve the flowability and/or storability and/or HF absorptivity of an alkali metal salt of carbonic acid.
Abstract: A conglomerated material based on metallurgical by-products and characterized in that it contains 2-10% of fibers, 9-25% wt of an alkaline earth metal hydroxide, and % wt of water.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for the preparation of substantially spherical monocrystalline vaterite, in particular, of vaterite having a determined size.
Abstract: A process is shown for treating flue or exhaust gases in order to remove sulfur oxides and hydrochloric acids in which calcium hydroxide having a surface area of at least 25 m.sup.
Abstract: A process is shown for treating flue or exhaust gases in order to remove sulfur oxides and hydrochloric acids in which calcium hydroxide having a surface area of at least 25 m.sup.2 /g and a moisture content lower than 50% is injected in the gases to be treated either alone, or in a mixture with magnesium hydroxide. The calcium hydroxide used in the process is prepared by reacting quicklime or dolomitic quicklime with water in the presence of a glycol or an amine companion additive.
