The information cartridge has a handle (26) with a distinctive aperture (27) and stylized letters (12) to provide a skeleton key appearance yet to clearly disclose to trained medical and emergency personnel the information content of the key. A cartridge placement holder (47) also is provided to align the microfiche chip with the optical and magnification apparatus of conventional microfiche reading apparatus.
