Abstract: A pulse train generating circuit for accurately controlling the ozone production of an ozone generator, is disclosed. The ozone generator may be an electrode type ozone generator or a laser type ozone generator. The circuit generates a first signal indicative of the target rate of ozone production. A control signal of a predetermined length first time period having enable and disable portions is then generated. The temporal sum of the enable portions in each separate time period of the control signal is representative of the target rate of ozone production. A train of pulses corresponding to the enable portions of the control signal is passed by a pulse train gate, and is fed to the ozone generator so as to cause generation of ozone. The amount of ozone generated during the first time period is directly related to the temporal sum of the pulses in the train of pulses, so as to thereby provide accurate control of the amount of ozone being generated.
