Abstract: A locking gimbal ring assembly including an inner ring for holding an article and an outer clamping element for receiving the inner holding ring and connectable with an outside structure, with the outer clamping element being formed of two superimposed annular elements having each a circular half-hole provided on an adjacent end surface of each of the annular element and complementary to each other, the complementary circular half-holes forming a clamping socket, the top and bottom annular elements having at least a pair of complementary opposite holes for connecting the top and bottom annular elements together, the assembly further including a pin connectable with the inner holding ring for joint pivotal movement therewith and receivable in the clamping socket formed by the annular elements, and screws extending into the pair of complementary holes formed in the top and bottom annular elements for adjustably connecting the top and bottom annual elements.
Abstract: A display for a plurality of electrical fixtures, such as lighting fixtures. The display includes a slat board type mounting panel having a plurality of elongated generally horizontal grooves in the front surface thereof. A plurality of mounting plates are provided having flanges that are adapted to be retained within the grooves of the slat board for removably supporting the mounting plates on the front surface of the panel. An electrical wire is secured to the plates. A male plug attached to one end of the wire. A retainer is provided on opposite sides of the mounting panel to support the panel. The retainer has a U shaped channel therein. A series of electrical receptacles are mounted within the channel. The plug may be inserted into the receptacles for providing electrical power to the mounting plates. The retainer includes an opening therein that mates with the grooves of the slat board.
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a lighting device to illuminate the running board of a vehicle. One embodiment of the lighting device includes an electroluminescent element from which light emanates, an optical element for focusing the light, and a transparent tube surrounding the electroluminescent element and the optical element. In another embodiment of the lighting device, the transparent tube itself is provided with optical power for creating the desired light pattern.
Abstract: An improved electrodeless discharge lamp bulb includes an integral ceramic reflector as a portion of the bulb envelope. The bulb envelope further includes two pieces, a reflector portion or segment is cast quartz ceramic and a light transmissive portion is a clear fused silica. In one embodiment, the cast quartz ceramic segment includes heat sink fins or stubs providing an increased outside surface area to dissipate internal heat. In another embodiment, the quartz ceramic segment includes an outside surface fused to eliminate gas permeation by polishing.

Abstract: A rope light includes a flexible lighting strip, multiple trapezoidal shaped flanges attached to the flexible lighting strip, and gaps evenly spaced between the flanges. The rope light may be attached to a wall or other surface by placing hooks or staples through the flanges or by placing hooks through slots in the flanges. The rope light may also be attached to a wall, or other surface, by using an attachment strip.
Abstract: An elongated light guide courtesy lamp for a vehicle. The lamp includes a light source mounted on the vehicle and an elongated light conductor for conducting light generated by the light source. The light conducted from the conductor is used to illuminate the running board of the vehicle or the area below the running step of the vehicle.
Abstract: A ceiling fan has a downrod assembly secured at an upper end to a ceiling bracket assembly and secured at a lower end to the motor shaft of a motor. An upper canopy is disposed at an upper end of the downrod assembly and a lower canopy is disposed at the lower end of the downrod assembly. A fan housing/blade mounting assembly secures fan blades to a motor body that rotates about the motor shaft, and a lower platter assembly is secured to a lower end of the motor shaft.
