    Abstract: A modular lighting assembly is formed from a plurality of modules. Each module comprises a base having an outer edge and a sidewall coupled to the outer edge of the base. The sidewall surrounds the base to provide a recess. A socket for receiving a light bulb is coupled to the base and extends into the recess. At least one locking device is provided on the sidewall to allow the module to be coupled to another module to provide a modular lighting assembly.
