Abstract: A temperature-curable aminoplastic adhesive resin that is a (poly)-condensate of: (i) at least one aminoplast-forming chemical; (ii) 5-hydroxymethylfurfural (5-HMF), its oligomers and/or its isomers; and, (iii) at the least one second (poly-)condensable chemical produced in the presence of an organic sulfonic acid. Composite boards, such as wood-based panels, can be produced using this adhesive resin. The production of the aminoplastic adhesive resins includes the reaction of urea with 5-hydroxymethylfurfural (5-HMF) and glyoxal in the presence of an organic sulfonic acid as a hardener. The adhesive resin can be used in the production of wood-based panels, such as, particleboards, chipboards, fiberboards and products usually called, among others, plywood and/or blockboards, in the presence of an organic sulfonic during curing.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a panel as well as a method for producing a panel, in particular a wall- ceiling- or floor panel. The method according to the invention provides that a layer of liquid radiation curing acrylate with a low Martens hardness is applied on a support layer in a first step. This is followed by an application of an intermediate layer in a second step and thereafter the application of a further layer wet-on-wet, which as a Martens hardness after curing which is larger than the Martens hardness of the first applied layer. The resulting panel has an intermediate layer with an inhomogeneous hardness profile due to the wet-on-wet application which leads to particularly advantageous properties.
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a mineral wool board, comprising the following steps: providing mineral wool fibers having a fiber length of 50 to 800 ?m; providing a binder comprising a mixture of liquid resin and mineral fillers having an average grain size d50 of 10 nm to 250 ?m; gluing the fibers with the binder, and compressing the glued fibers using heat and pressure.
Abstract: A panel with a detachable protruding lip for wall-, ceiling- or floor coverings is provided. Furthermore, methods are provided for manufacturing wall-, ceiling- or floor coverings comprising or consisting of a plurality of the panels.
