    Abstract: A vertical blind assembly, capable of having its mounting assembly or track easily shortened, has a generally square, generally U-shaped housing with a control end assembly situated on one end of the U-shaped housing and an idle end assembly situated at the other end of the housing. The idle end assembly is easily removed from the vertical blind assembly for the purpose of reducing the length of the U-shaped housing.
