    Abstract: The time elapsed between passing landmark posts observed from a moving vehicle, is measured by manually controlled start and stop of a timing cycle, and such time measurement is utilized to perform a velocity calculation based on selection of a memory stored data relating to distances between uniformly spaced types of landmark posts. The time measurements as well as the velocity calculations are exhibited on a digital display.
