    Abstract: The present invention pertains to a hinge connection for connecting vehicle parts 1 and 2 of a multiple-unit rail-borne vehicle in an articulated manner by a rolling bearing 3, which is held on a support 2a projecting beyond the end of one of the vehicle parts 2. The hinge cooperates with a support 1a projecting beyond the end of another vehicle part 1 in an articulated manner, and permits horizontal and vertical deflecting movements of the vehicle parts 1 and 2 in relation to one another. The design of the hinge connection is such that the rolling bearing is relieved of wear-promoting loads and greater horizontal buckling angles between the connected vehicle parts can be obtained. This objective is accomplished by the support 2a of the second vehicle part 2 being fixed, via an elastomer hinge 4, to the inner ring 3a of the rolling bearing 3, which has neither radial nor axial play, at least in the installed state.

    Abstract: A gangway is provided between two railway cars or units of railway cars that are pivoted to one another, and that forms a continuous, stepless passage for all travel motions. The entire gangway is designed as a unit that is held in the central position to each of the ends of the cars facing one another with the ability to shift lengthwise, by a centering device, and is supported and guided on bridge bearings, and is mounted to be able to pivot around its vertical axis and also to be able to tip out of the horizontal plane. The bridge area of the gangway consists of a number of rigid rails placed parallel to one another at prescribed distances and able to move lengthwise, which are enclosed and guided at both ends in supporting profiles that are mounted and guided on the bridge bearings associated with them.

    Abstract: In a train formation, the passage from one car to the next is surrounded by a passover protection which comprises a central gantry closed on all sides which is mounted laterally displaceable relative to the cars. The central gantry is a mirror symmetric arrangement, even with the vehicle sides, consisting of adapter frames with peripheral abutments contacting elastic, hollow sections located peripherally between the abutments and the matching ends of the vehicle for small movement. A second set of peripheral, elastic hollow sections, structured for larger movement, is connected to the inner ends of the adapter frames and to the coupling frames. Connecting linkages are provided for guiding the adapter frames relative to the vehicles.

    Abstract: A truck for the pivotal support of two car bodies, particularly of articulated rail motor cars, comprises a truck frame having a vertical pivot for each car mounted in spaced longitudinal locations on the truck frame. A transversely extending swiveling bolster is centrally mounted for pivoting movement on each vertical pivot and each bolster includes a spring support adjacent each respective end for resiliently supporting the associated car body. The truck also carries slide means, such as interengaged slide plates on the truck and the bolster underlying the spring supports for slidably supporting the respective ends of the bolster on the truck.
