Abstract: A convertible sofa is convertible between a sofa configuration and a bed configuration. The convertible sofa includes articulated armrests. When the convertible sofa is in a sofa configuration, the arm rests are in an arm rest configuration. When the convertible sofa is in a bed configuration, the arm rests are in a generally flat or horizontal configuration.

Abstract: A cable end fitting includes a disc-shaped head and a shank, with the shank configured for attachment to an end of a cable. The fitting may be used in combination with a bracket defining an opening shaped to permit engagement and disengagement of the fitting and the bracket when the fitting and the bracket are in a first relative orientation but not when the fitting and the bracket are in a second relative orientation.

Abstract: A cable-operated mechanism for actuating a slide-out room includes a column, an endless chain loop disposed with the column, first and second drive blocks engaged with the chain loop, and first through fourth cables attached at first ends thereof to the drive blocks. The cables are attached at second ends thereof to inboard and outboard ends of a slide out room. Operation of the chain loop in a first direction tensions the cables attached to the inboard end of the room and slackens the cables attached to the outboard end. Operation of the chain loop in a second direction has the opposite effect.

Abstract: A recreational vehicle (RV) includes a ramp door configurable as a ramp or as a patio deck. A stair is attachable to a side of the door. A railing extends about the perimeter of the door when in the deck configuration. First and second support cables may be connected between the door and the RV to support the door when in the deck configuration.

Abstract: A system includes a structure having a wall, a doorway and a door that is repositionable between a first position wherein the door is clear of the doorway and a second position wherein the door occludes the doorway. The system also includes a stair carrier attached to the structure. A stair may be connected to the stair carrier. The stair carrier is repositionable between a first position wherein the entirety of the stair carrier is disposed on a first side of the wall and a second position wherein a portion of the stair carrier extends through the doorway to a second side of the wall. The door is fully operable between the first position and the second position both when the stair carrier is in the first position and in the second position.

Abstract: A marine vessel includes at least one convertible sofa that moves between a sofa position and a bed position. In one embodiment, the marine vessel includes a first convertible sofa and a second convertible sofa couple together as a freestanding unit where the seat portion of the first convertible sofa and the seat portion of the second convertible sofa are held in a fixed, spaced apart relationship to each other. In another embodiment, one end of the first convertible sofa and one end of the second convertible sofa are coupled together to hold the first convertible sofa and the second convertible sofa in a fixed, spaced apart relationship to each other and to form an aisle between the first convertible sofa and the second convertible sofa when the first convertible sofa and the second convertible sofa are in the sofa position.

Abstract: A system for inhibiting operation of a vehicle-based device while the vehicle is in motion includes a motion sensor, a timer, and a time delay override switch in communication with a control circuit. The control circuit selectively outputs one or more enable and/or inhibit signals based on the states of the motion sensor and timer. The time delay override switch can be actuated to place the timer into a timed out state from a timing state.

Abstract: An equalizer includes a pivot arm pivotally connected between first and second spaced-apart plates fixedly connected to each other. First and second bump stops extend from one of the first and second plates to or toward the other of the first and second plates. A first shock absorber is disposed and selectively compressible between the pivot arm and the first bump stop. A second shock absorber is disposed and selectively compressible between the pivot arm and the second bump stop.

Abstract: A leveling and stabilizing jack includes an intermediate member joining first and second lifting sections. Each lifting section includes a cross beam, a leg, a brace, a foot, a motor and a drive screw. The motor powers the drive screw, which is operably associated with the leg, to cause the leg to extend away from or retract toward the cross beam depending on the motor's direction of rotation. A motor control can control the motor of each of the lifting sections independently in a manner that results in leveling of the jack when deployed.

Abstract: A vehicle includes a bed that is movable upward from a lowered position where the bed is positioned to receive one or more persons to sleep thereon to a stowed position where at least a portion of the bed is stowed adjacent to a ceiling of the vehicle. The portion of the bed can be at least substantially horizontal and horizontally offset when the bed is in the lowered position and the stowed position. The bed can also be positioned above a seating area in the vehicle and moved upward with one or more screw drive members or one or more straps.

Abstract: A slide-out or retractable room for a mobile living quarters, such as a recreational vehicle, is provided with actuating assemblies mounted on opposite side walls of the slide-out room and the adjacent wall of the main living area. The actuating assemblies include a pair of parallel gear racks mounted on the side wall, which are engaged by pinions rotated by torque shafts mounted on the main living quarters. Each torque shaft is rotated by a separate motor. A roller engages a bearing surface on the lower portion of the gear racks. Accordingly, the slide-out room is extended and retracted by rotating the torque shafts to cause the gear racks and the attached slide-out room to extend and retract. The weight of the slide-out room is supported by the rollers, thereby supporting the slide-out room off of the floor of the main living quarters as it extends and retracts. A synchronizing control operates the motors.

Abstract: A collapsible privacy enclosure includes a lower frame section, a middle frame section, and an upper frame section. The middle frame section is reconfigurable between a deployed configuration and a stowed configuration. The upper frame section includes a tilting portion and is reconfigurable between a deployed configuration and a stowed configuration. A curtain rod is deployable from the upper frame section.

Abstract: A seat pedestal includes an open base upon which a plate assembly is mounted for translational movement upon the base. The plate assembly includes a bottom plate, a seat mount for supporting a seat, and a bearing means between the bottom plate and the seat mount to permit the seat mount to rotate. One lock releasably secures the plate assembly in the driving position and another, which is self-actuating, releases the seat mount so that it can rotate freely when it is in the resting position. A stop carried by the seat mount defines a range in which the seat may be rotated. At least one pair of interlocking members couples the seat mount with the bottom plate to transfer lateral loads born by the seat to the base. The bottom plate, the bearing means, and the seat mount have concentric openings through which wires may pass for accessories such as power/heated seats, headrests, and computer screens and related accoutrements.

Abstract: A jack leveling apparatus utilizes a Hall effect sensor to determine a rate of movement of the jack leveling apparatus. The rate of movement is correlated to loading or unloading of the jack level device. When a load is applied to the jack level, the rate of movement will slow while alternatively, if a load is removed, the rate of movement will increase. Utilizing these values, the controller may also determine the position of the leg of the jack level device.

Abstract: An adjustment coupler includes a first clutch member and a second clutch member. In embodiments, the first clutch member may be rotationally fixed with respect to the second clutch member when a torque applied thereto is less than a predetermined amount. When the torque is greater than or equal to the predetermined amount, the first clutch member may rotate with respect to the second clutch member. In other embodiments, the first clutch member may be rotationally fixed to the second clutch member.

The door panel frame includes a peripheral web, an outer flange extending outwardly from the web, a seal flange extending inwardly from the web, and a guard flange extending inwardly from the web. The seal flange is outboard of the guard flange. Lower portions of the seal flange may include perforations there through to allow water that may accumulate between the seal flange and the guard flange to exit the frame outwardly.

Abstract: A structure includes an item of furniture coupled to a lift system. The lifting system is configured to move the item of furniture vertically along a path between a lowered position and a raised position. The item of furniture is coupled to the lifting system in a manner that allows the item of furniture to move upward along the path when the lifting system is stationary. When the item of furniture is in the lowered position, it is supported on the floor of the structure. This configuration allows the item of furniture to float relative to the lifting system so that when the item of furniture reaches the lowered position, it is supported only by the floor and not the lifting system.

Abstract: A fluid actuator includes housing defining a cylinder bore and first and second fluid passages. A circumferential detent groove extends into the housing from the cylinder bore. The cylinder bore receives a piston having a top face and a skirt in sliding engagement. A circumferential detent ring groove extends radially inwardly into the skirt. The detent ring groove has a first portion of a first depth and a second portion of a second, greater depth. An o-ring is at least partially received in the second portion. A wear ring is at least partially received in the first portion and overlies the o-ring. The o-ring biases the wear ring outwardly of the detent ring so that the wear ring may be selectively engaged with the detent groove.
