  • Patent number: 6422711
Abstract: A hidden rib for the reflector of an LED display is disclosed, wherein a hollowed optic displaying section is formed in a reflector. The hollowed optic displaying section is connected by a hidden rib, the rib is installed at a plane lower than a surface of the reflector. The hollowed optic displaying section on the reflector can be filled with diffusion agent (or adhered with diffusion film on the reflector) so that the surface of the reflector is formed as a flat smooth plane. When light from the light emitting diode radiates out through the optic displaying section and the epoxy. The light can be diverged to the whole optic displaying section so that the continuous text or pattern optic displaying section does not be interrupted for presenting a beautiful appearance and a clear text or pattern.

  • Patent number: 6252584
Abstract: A detecting device of an encoder is disclosed. The detecting device comprises a photodetector and a detection circuit. The photodetector has three active areas, and the detection circuit compares each two of the electric signals outputted from the three active areas for deriving a digital waveform with a desired phase and duty cycle. Thus, the digital signal may be correctly decoded into a vector data by a digital circuit in the next stage. The shift of signal level induced from the decay of LED may be avoided. The defect of a prior art optomechanical encoder is also avoided. In the prior art encoder, a fixed voltage is used as a comparing voltage and thus the encoded signal could be too strong or too weak due to the variation of the sensitivities of different photodetectors and the difference in the light intensities of the LEDs.

  • Patent number: 5895302
Abstract: Provided an LED display suitable for attaching to the printed circuit board together with other surface mounted devices by surface mounting process. This LED display may sustain the high temperature of the heating oven without the warping of the reflector. The reflector of the display is made from polycyclohexylene terephalate (PCT) and this reflector is undergone a heat treatment right after the reflector is injecting molded. By this heat treatment, the molecular connections of the plastic material become more perfect. Accordingly, the reflector is inherited with excellent stability and remains this stability during the post processes and at the high temperature of the surface mounting process.
