Abstract: A ribbon cartridge for use in combination with a printing machine having a ribbon quantity sensor for reversing the direction of ribbon movement is provided. The cartridge has at least two spools therein with an inked ribbon attached to each spool and includes means for immobilizing both of the spools and means for locking each of the spools in a preferred position for insertion into the printing machine.

Abstract: A ribbon cartridge is adapted for insertion into a printing machine such as a printing electronic calculator having a printer, a platen, and a ribbon quantity sensing and reversing lever. The cartridge comprises a cassette with an inked ribbon therein connected between two ribbon storage members. The cassette has ribbon guide members for directing the ribbon from one ribbon storage member in between the printer and platen to another ribbon storage member. The ribbon cartridge is improved by incorporating as a part of the cassette a member or members for moving the lever into a non-interfering position during the insertion of the cartridge into the printing machine, the member(s) being positioned below the operating plane of the lever upon complete insertion of the cartridge.

Abstract: This invention concerns transfer sheets which include a blocking agent and which are useful in the heat transfer dye printing of various materials such as textiles. The blocking agent is capable of chemically reacting with and thereby completely or partially blocking the transfer of heat transfer dyes which have been previously imprinted or coated on the transfer sheets. By using such transfer sheets, designs can be printed which are not otherwise obtainable by conventional techniques. The invention further concerns the method of making such sheets, their use in the printing of various materials, and the materials which have been so printed.

Abstract: A system for constructing modular display and storage cases is disclosed in which the cases are built up from standard shelving. The shelving includes a vertical slot near the front face for engaging a selected mounting element, which in turn provide support for the door panels of the unit. Side panels are attached to complete the structure. Using the same shelves and mounting elements a wide variety of different display and storage case configurations can be constructed.
