    Abstract: A hermaphroditic connector-half for coupling together adjacent streamer-cable sections consisting of an outer plastic shell that can be slid over a stress plate that carries a plurality of multicontact connector plugs. For maintenance purposes, the outer shell can be removed so that free access may be had to the contacts of the connector plugs and to the multiple conductors in the streamer cable.
